29–30 July 2026 | The BLGF Regional Office XIII Caraga Treasury Team successfully conducted the Virtual Local Treasury Operations Evaluation (LTOE) for the Municipality of San Miguel, Surigao del Sur.

Conducted through an online platform, the evaluation supported cost-efficient operations and adhered to Memorandum Circular No. 114 on energy conservation. The activity ensured the continuous assessment and enhancement of local treasury operations while fostering efficiency, transparency, and stronger collaboration.

21–23 July 2026 | The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Region XIII and the Regional Association of Treasurers and Assessors (REGATA) XIII, Inc. jointly conducted their Mid-Year Conference at the Grand Palace Hotel, Butuan City, featuring the training workshop entitled:

β€œStrengthening Local Revenues: A Training Workshop on the Formulation of Schedule of Market Values (SMV) on Advancing Real Property Valuation and Tax Administration.”

Anchored on the theme, β€œStrengthening LGU Capacity through Valuation Reform and Standards for Sustainable Local Revenue,” the three-day activity brought together local government finance practitioners to enhance their knowledge and capabilities in real property valuation, the formulation of the Schedule of Market Values (SMV), and effective real property tax administration.

The conference underscores the shared commitment of BLGF XIII and REGATA XIII, Inc. to strengthening the capacity of Local Government Units (LGUs), promoting standards-based valuation practices, and advancing sustainable local revenue generation through sound and effective real property valuation and tax administration.

13–14 July 2026 | The BLGF Regional Office XIII – Caraga Treasury Team supervised the turnover of accountabilities between the Outgoing Municipal Treasurer and the Assistant Municipal Treasurer of Burgos, Surigao del Norte.

The activity ensures the proper and orderly transfer of financial records, documents, properties, and other accountabilities, promoting transparency, accountability, and continuity in local treasury operations.

Please be informed that the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Regional Office XIII – Caraga will be CLOSED on Monday, August 3, 2026, in observance of the 76th Araw ng Butuan.

This is pursuant to Executive Order No. 70, Series of 2026, issued by City Mayor Lawrence Lemuel H. Fortun, in relation to Republic Act No. 11137. Since August 2 (Araw ng Butuan) falls on a Sunday, the special non-working holiday will be observed on Monday, August 3, 2026.

29–30 June 2026 | The Bureau of Local Government Finance (BGLF) Regional Office XIII – Caraga successfully conducted the Local Assessment Operations Evaluation (LAOE) and facilitated the Turnover of Accountabilities between the Outgoing Municipal Treasurer, Ms. Marilou A. Aspril, and Acting Assistant Municipal Treasurer, Ms. Carmelita M. Palma, of the Municipality of Carmen, Surigao del Sur.

The LAOE was undertaken to assess and strengthen local assessment operations, promote adherence to established policies and standards, and support the continuous enhancement of local revenue administration.
