PBGEN Marcial Mariano P. Magistrado IV, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 13 (PRO13), conducted a Command Visit and presided over a Command Conference at the Headquarters Butuan City Police Office (BCPO) Conference Room, Malvar Circle, Holy Redeemer, Butuan City. He was warmly received by PCOL Richie M. Yatar, City Director of BCPO, together with the City Command Group and key personnel through foyer honors.
During his Talk to Men, PBGEN Magistrado IV encouraged all personnel to perform their duties with unwavering dedication, emphasizing that genuine love for the profession inspires excellence and enables police officers to deliver more responsive, compassionate, and people-centered public service. He also expressed his sincere appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by all personnel, recognizing that their collective efforts have significantly contributed to the accomplishments of their respective stations and to maintaining a safer and more secure community.
Joining the Regional Director during the command visit were members of the Regional Staff, including PCOL Rolly D. Albaña, Chief of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID); PCOL Laudemer M. Laude, Chief of the Regional Operations Division (ROD); PCOL Glenn C. Sampaga, Chief of the Regional Logistics and Research and Development Division (RLRDD); and PLTCOL John L. Corpuz, Deputy Chief of the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD). Together, they participated in discussions and assessed BCPO’s operational accomplishments, ongoing initiatives, and organizational performance.
The Command Conference focused on the unit’s operational accomplishments and the implementation of the SAFER Cities Initiative. Discussions highlighted the strict enforcement of local ordinances, intensified anti-criminality operations with emphasis on the Eight Focus Crimes, strengthened security deployments in educational institutions, and other operational priorities aimed at sustaining peace, public safety, and order in Butuan City.
Following the Command Conference, PBGEN Magistrado IV also presided over two separate Case Conferences to review the progress of the ongoing investigations into the missing child case in Barangay Camayahan, Butuan City, and the robbery incident at Robinsons Mall, Butuan City. During the discussions, concerned investigators and unit commanders presented comprehensive updates on the status of both cases, investigative developments, and operational actions undertaken.
Caraga’s Top Cop directed all concerned units to intensify investigative and intelligence efforts, strengthen inter-agency coordination, maximize all available resources, and ensure the timely and lawful resolution of both cases. He likewise emphasized the importance of thorough case build-up, strict adherence to investigative procedures, and close coordination with all stakeholders to reinforce public trust and confidence in the Philippine National Police.
In his command guidance, PBGEN Magistrado IV reiterated the importance of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and discipline as the foundation of effective policing. He called on all personnel to uphold the core values of the Philippine National Police, remain steadfast in delivering quality police service, and carry out their duties with excellence, fairness, and an unwavering commitment to protecting and serving the community.
