TESDA AgNor in collaboration with the 23rd Infantry “Masigasig” Battalion facilitated the distribution of Starter Toolkits to 25 Former Rebels under STEP held on January 19, 2022 at 23rd Infantry Battalion Headquarters, Barangay Alubihid, Buenavista.

In addressing poverty, peace and order concerns, the distribution of toolkits is just as one among the many sustainable government actions and solutions towards solving local communist conflict and strengthen its reach through skills training provisions to indigent and the vulnerable members of society.

In the pursuit to deliver services to far-flung areas through provision of skills training, TESDA Director General Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña intensifies the agency’s mantra “TESDA Abot Lahat” which intends to develop Uniformed Personnel community-based trainer who will be visiting remote communities to train the residents on the technical-vocational courses that can uplift their livelihood and for them to gain better employment after and to address the insurgency problem.

The interventions of TESDA extended to the uniformed personnel will strengthen the partnership and aim in capacitating our uniformed personnel become trainers to the Barangay Development Program under the PRLEC of the EO No. 70. The produced pool of competent trainers will then be trained under the Community-based Training Trainers Methodology (CBT TM) for them to become qualified community-based trainers.
