The Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) will conduct a Face-to-Face “𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩” from 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟔-𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐘 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐨 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲.

The training workshop aims to provide knowledge and skills in assessing the effectiveness of ventilation systems through an in-depth discussion on the various types and uses of industrial ventilation, its components, and the basic design for controlling hazards, including the evaluation of its efficiency. The target participants are engineering professionals, industrial hygienists, and safety officers who are engaged in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of ventilation systems.

Potential participants must have attended the 40-hr. Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training or Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Training as a prerequisite to the course.

The training fee is 𝐏𝐡𝐩 𝟑,𝟓𝟎𝟎.𝟎𝟎 per participant to cover the cost of the training kit and meals.

Today, September 17, 2026, the Occupational Safety and Health Center through its Regional Extension Unit Caraga, conducted the BOSH Safety Officer 1 Training via an online platform.

The training aims to strengthen participants’ knowledge and skills in promoting workplace safety and health, enhance their understanding of occupational safety and health standards, and foster a culture of safety in the workplace.

The activity reflects OSHC-REU Caraga’s continuing commitment to providing accessible and relevant occupational safety and health education to workers, safety practitioners, and other stakeholders.

Safety is everyone’s responsibility. Together, let us build safer, healthier, and more productive workplaces.

The Occupational Safety and Health Center - Regional Extension Unit (OSHC REU) Caraga recently joined the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Caraga 'Handog ng Pangulo' Job Fair on September 14, 2026 held in Robinsons Mall,Butuan City,

Aligned with DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino’s vision for worker protection, the event was graced by DOLE Caraga Regional Director Atty. Jason P. Balais and representatives from Regional Coordinating Committee (RCC) attached agencies, showcasing a united front for public service.

OSHC REU Caraga do Free Blood Pressure Checks for jobseekers and workers to monitor their health on-site.

A Free Safety Officer Training Registrations was also offered to expand access to essential occupational safety education for aspiring safety advocates.

The event also marked a major milestone with DOLE Caraga’s awarding of livelihood assistance grants to qualified beneficiaries across the region, driving grassroots economic resilience and sustainable growth.

Together with DOLE and its attached agencies, OSHC REU Caraga remains committed to building safe, healthy, and productive workplaces for all Caraga workers!
