DAVAO CITY—The Local Government Unit (LGU) of San Miguel, Surigao del Sur officially received No Objection Letter (NOL) 1 clearance to commence the procurement phase for the Improvement/Concreting of NRJ Umalag to Sitio Kapnon Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) worth ₱31-million, marking a major milestone toward boosting local agricultural logistics and connectivity.

With the official greenlight secured, the municipality is moving forward with public bidding and procurement processes in accordance with the harmonized World Bank procurement guidelines to ensure government transparency and quality standards.

During the ceremonial awarding held at the MIADP Project Support Office (PSO), DA Assistant Secretary for Operations U-Nichols Manalo highlighted that MIADP remains a flagship priority under DA Secretary Francis P. Tiu Laurel Jr., providing LGUs direct access to funding for high-impact agricultural developments tailored for IP ancestral domains.

“Beyond this symbolic ceremony, we hold this event to meet and talk with our partner implementers, the LGUs and the local chief executives, to show our steadfast commitment to provide inclusive growth and development particularly for our IP brothers and sisters,” DA Assistant Secretary for Operations U-Nichols Manalo said.

San Miguel Mayor Michael Corilla expressed deep appreciation for the DA’s continued support, confirming that his administration remains fully aligned with regional efforts to uplift indigenous communities and drive long-term economic stability.

“𝘈𝘥𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘺 𝘬𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘬 𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘪 𝘯𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘵𝘶𝘣𝘢𝘨 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘯 𝘶𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘩𝘰 𝘴𝘢 𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘰𝘥 𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘨𝘢-𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘬𝘰, 𝘯𝘢𝘨-𝘷𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺, 𝘶𝘨 𝘯𝘢𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘺 𝘨𝘪-𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘰𝘥 𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘵-𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘬𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱.”

Dili sayon ang iyang dalan, apan nakab-ot niya ang iyang tumong. Malampuson siyang nakatapos sa Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English niadtong 2020 ug nakapasar sa Licensure Examination for Teachers niadtong 2021.

“𝘋𝘢𝘨𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘬𝘢𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘬𝘰𝘨 𝘥𝘢𝘮𝘨𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢 𝘢𝘬𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘰. 𝘈𝘬𝘰 𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘶𝘵 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘶𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘬𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘨𝘴𝘶𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘥, 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘵-𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘶𝘨𝘥𝘢 𝘰𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘨𝘰𝘴𝘺𝘰 𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘢𝘨𝘪 𝘴𝘢 𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘩𝘶𝘨𝘱𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘨 𝘮𝘢-𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘣𝘢𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘭𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮, 𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘢 𝘶𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘵𝘶𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘰𝘯 𝘰 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘒𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘚𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 (𝘐𝘒𝘚𝘗).”

“𝘈𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘬𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘺 𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘯-𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘗 𝘮𝘢𝘰 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘢 𝘰𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘰 𝘶𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘥 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘯-𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘗 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘨 𝘵𝘢𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘺𝘰𝘯, 𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘪 𝘯𝘢 𝘯𝘪𝘢𝘥𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺𝘢 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘨𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘬𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘢-𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘩𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘬.”

“𝘜𝘯𝘵𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘪 𝘰𝘨 𝘐𝘗 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘩 𝘏𝘶𝘣 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘶𝘨 𝘚𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘺𝘭𝘢𝘱 𝘱𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘥𝘢𝘨𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘯-𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘩𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘩𝘶𝘬𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘯-𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘱𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘶𝘩𝘪 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘬𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢 𝘶𝘨 𝘪𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘳𝘣𝘰 𝘴𝘢 𝘵𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘰𝘬 𝘬𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘢𝘯.”
