Following the flag ceremony earlier today, CAAP Area Center 12 held a short recognition program honoring employees who achieved perfect attendance, with no absences and no tardiness, for the month of July 2026.

The employeesโ€™ commitment, discipline, and dedication to their duties were recognized by Civil Aviation Area Manager Engr. Junelito P. Abrazado, who expressed appreciation for their exemplary work ethic and continued commitment to public service.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) โ€“ Area Center 12 successfully conducted a two-day Cybersecurity Awareness Seminar on Safeguarding Institutional Data Assets on July 20โ€“21, 2026, held virtually via Zoom and facilitated by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Caraga.
The seminar forms part of CAAP Area Center 12's continuing commitment to Digital Transformation by equipping its personnel with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect institutional data assets against evolving cyber threats. Participants gained valuable insights into cybersecurity fundamentals, data privacy and protection, cyber risk management, phishing awareness, password security, and best practices for maintaining a secure digital workplace.

As government agencies continue to embrace digital technologies, strengthening cybersecurity awareness has become essential in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of institutional information. Through initiatives like this, CAAP Area Center 12 reaffirms its commitment to building a cyber-resilient workforce and fostering a culture of information security.

Joint Culmination of the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program 2026

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) Area Center 12 proudly celebrated the successful Culmination Program for our On-the-Job Trainees, held at the Office of the Civil Aviation Area Manager, Area Center 12.

The program formally opened with inspiring Opening Remarks from our Acting Civil Aviation Area Manager, Engr. Junelito P. Abrazado, who commended the trainees for their dedication, perseverance, and willingness to learn throughout their internship.

A heartfelt and meaningful message was likewise delivered by our Acting Area Human Resource Management Officer, Ms. Maria Lourdes L. Lasco, who encouraged the trainees to continue striving for excellence, uphold professionalism, and carry the values they learned at CAAP wherever their careers may take them.

This year's culmination recognized the successful completion of the internship program of students from Saint Joseph Institute of Technology (SJIT), Philippine Electronics and Communication Institute of Technology (PECIT), and Caraga State University โ€“ Cabadbaran Campus (CSU Cabadbaran Campus). Their hard work, enthusiasm, and commitment throughout their training have been truly appreciated.

As they conclude this meaningful chapter, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our OJT trainees. May the knowledge, skills, and experiences you gained during your time with CAAP Area Center 12 serve as a strong foundation as you pursue your future professions.

An Insightful Virtual "Kamustahan" on Human Resource Management Updates!

Earlier today, CAAP AC12 HRMU successfully conducted its Virtual "Kamustahan" โ€“ Human Resource Management: Updates, Issues, and Concerns, bringing together airport officials and personnel from across the Area Center.

The meeting served as an avenue to share important Human Resource Management updates, including the current manpower complement, recent recruitment and hiring activities, onboarding of newly hired employees, and other significant HR programs and initiatives. Participants also took part in an interactive open forum, where they raised questions, shared insights, and discussed concerns to further strengthen HR processes and coordination within Area Center 12.

A key highlight of the meeting was the strong reminder from Area Center 12 on the strict and consistent implementation of existing CAAP policies and standards, particularly on proper office decorum, adherence to the prescribed dress code, observance of office rules and regulations, punctuality, and professionalism in the workplace. Personnel were encouraged to uphold these standards as part of CAAP's commitment to delivering quality public service and maintaining a positive organizational culture.
