Accurate data generation supports informed decision-making, program implementation, and policy development to further advance the aquaculture sector in the region.
Key highlights of the activity included:
• Presentation of BFAR Caraga CY 2026 priority programs and provincial fisheries initiatives
• Discussion on the salient features of Good Aquaculture Practices (GAqP)
• Orientation on guidelines, legal basis, requirements, and procedures for aquafarm registration and certification, particularly for shrimp, tilapia, and Australian Redclaw Crayfish (ARC)
• Workshop and discussion on the new Aquasurvey Form
