The Buug Municipal Fire Station headed by ๐…๐’๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐‘๐€๐๐ƒ๐€๐‹๐‹ ๐’ ๐‚๐€๐‘๐๐ˆ๐Ž conducted a Fire Safety on Demand (FSOD) activity to the students of St. John Buug College. The activity included a fire safety lecture focusing on fire prevention practices, common fire hazards, and the importance of being prepared for emergencies. The personnel also discussed the importance of Exit Drill in the Home (EDITH), emphasizing the need for every family to develop and practice a home escape plan, identify at least two exits from every room, establish a safe meeting place outside the house, and ensure that all family members know what to do in the event of a fire. The program aimed to increase the students' awareness of fire hazards, promote a culture of safety, and equip them with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively during fire emergencies.

The ๐๐ฎ๐ฎ๐  ๐Œ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ฅ ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ž ๐’๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, under the leadership of ๐…๐’๐ˆ๐๐’๐ ๐‘๐€๐๐ƒ๐€๐‹๐‹ ๐’ ๐‚๐€๐‘๐๐ˆ๐Ž, Municipal Fire Marshal, and ๐‹๐š๐›๐ซ๐š๐๐จ๐ซ ๐…๐ข๐ซ๐ž ๐’๐ฎ๐›๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, headed by SFO3 Steve C Samson, Acting Substation Commander, actively participated in Oplan Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Villacastor Elementary School and Villacastor National High School, Barangay Villacastor, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The activity aimed to support the Department of Education's initiative in preparing school facilities for the opening of classes by promoting a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment. BFP personnel rendered assistance in school maintenance and cleanup activities, demonstrating the spirit of volunteerism, community partnership, and bayanihan.
Through this initiative, the Bureau of Fire Protection continues to strengthen its commitment to community service while fostering cooperation with educational institutions and local stakeholders for the welfare of learners and the community.
