Kaniadtong Agosto 19, 2026, Gipahigayon ang usa ka meeting alang sa accreditation sa Indigenous People (IP) sa Brgy. Mahaba, Cabadbaran City.

Kabahin kini sa pag-andam alang sa umaabot nga pag-abli sa Mt. Hilong-Hilong para sa mga hikers ug mga adventurous nga bisita, samtang gisiguro ang hustong pagdumala, kaluwasan, ug pagpreserbar sa atong kinaiyahan ug kultura.

Mitambong sa maong meeting ang City Tourism, Culture and Arts Office, City Planning and Development Office, City Legal Office, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, uban sa mga opisyal sa Brgy. The Department of Tourism (DOT), in partnership with the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) Caraga and the Local Government Unit of Cabadbaran City, invites qualified senior citizens to join the Community Tour Guiding Training for Senior Citizens.

This training aims to empower senior citizens to share their knowledge, stories, and appreciation of their community’s culture, heritage, and tourism destinations, while promoting meaningful participation in local tourism.

PADAYON ANG PAGPANGANDAM PARA SA PAG-ABLI SA MT. HILONG-HILONG!

Padayon ang mga konsultasyon, workshop, ug pagplano sa City Government of Cabadbaran ug mga concerned stakeholders alang sa responsable, luwas, ug organisadong pag-abli sa Mt. Hilong-Hilong para sa climbing activities puhon.

Niadtong July 15–16, 2026, gipahigayon ang Workshop on the Formulation of Guidelines, Management Framework, and Operational Procedures for Climbing Activities at Mt. Hilong-Hilong sa Barangay Hall, Barangay Mahaba.

Kini nga workshop usa lamang sa mga padayon nga lakang ug proseso aron maandam ang mga guidelines, safety measures, environmental protection protocols, management framework, ug operational procedures nga gikinahanglan sa dili pa pormal nga maablihan ang Mt. Hilong-Hilong alang sa mga climbers ug visitors.

Dili pa kini ang katapusan, padayon pa ang proseso.
Ang tanan nga lakang gihimo aron masiguro nga kung moabot na ang panahon sa pag-abli, ang Mt. Hilong-Hilong mahimong luwas, organisado, responsable, ug mapadayonon nga destinasyon.

Padayon ang pagpangandam. Padayon ang pagpreserba. Ug puhon, atong masinati ang kahalangdon sa Mt. Hilong-Hilong sa husto ug responsableng paagi.

Courtesy Visit and Archaeological Fieldwork Discussion in Cabadbaran City

On August 13, 2026, representatives from the National Museum of the Philippines – Butuan and its Archaeology Division paid a courtesy visit to the City Government of Cabadbaran and visited the Museo de Cabadbaran to discuss the upcoming archaeological fieldwork in Cabadbaran City, Agusan del Norte.

The visit focused on the objectives and activities of the project, β€œThe Archaeological Investigation of the Northeastern Mindanao Region,” which aims to uncover further evidence of early human settlement, occupation, and cultural transformations in the region.

The team also visited the museum exhibits and engaged in discussions on the rich archaeological and cultural heritage of Northeastern Mindanao, highlighting the importance of continued research, preservation, and cooperation among the National Museum, the local government, researchers, and the community.
