Cabadbaran City National High School was honored to welcome Department of Education Secretary Sonny Angara during the National Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Program, a meaningful gathering that highlighted the spirit of volunteerism, collaboration, and shared responsibility in preparing schools for the opening of classes.
The SSLG, Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB), and YES-O officers were deployed to assist in the successful conduct of the opening program. Through their dedication and teamwork, they helped ensure the smooth flow of activities while demonstrating the vital role of student leaders in fostering an organized, safe, and learner-centered school environment.
As part of their commitment to environmental stewardship, the YES-O officers spearheaded the tree-planting activity and joined efforts in maintaining the cleanliness of the school grounds. Meanwhile, the SSLG and BKB officers managed the Learners' Rights Protection (LRP) Booth and distributed informational materials to participants and visitors.
During the kick-off program, the Schools Division of Cabadbaran City proudly showcased the Learners' Rights Protection (LRP) initiative as one of its recognized best practices. The program reflects the division's continuing commitment to safeguarding learners' rights, promoting their welfare, and creating a school environment where every learner feels protected, valued, and empowered.
The event also marked the continuation of Project Agabai for its third year. Through this initiative, affordable pre-loved clothing and other essential items are made available to learners, with proceeds dedicated to supporting student-centered programs and educational assistance efforts. Its continued implementation reflects the commitment of the school and student leaders to fostering a culture of care, service, and shared responsibility within the school community.
As Brigada Eskwela continues, may this collective effort remind us that quality education begins with a community that works together for the welfare of every learner.
