The Magsasakang Nagkakaisa sa Kaunlaran Federation of Irrigators Association (FIA), Inc. continues to grow stronger by investing in essential assets that will benefit its seventy-eight (78) Irrigators Associations (IAs) members. Under the leadership of FIA President Mr. Victor Hernandez, and with the support of UPRIIS Division III Acting Division Manager Engr. Jayson M. Ibarra, the FIA successfully acquired a heavy-duty road grader worth ₱1.95 million and a 4×4 truck worth ₱1.3 million. This equipment will not only help improve farm-to-market roads but will also be an essential asset in providing hauling, transportation, and logistical support to the federation.
Additionally, the FIA acquired a 1,000-square-meter lot in Berang, Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija, which is intended to become the site of its future office. This investment reflects their vision of having a permanent and dedicated space for its administrative and organizational activities. More than simply acquiring property and equipment, these accomplishments show the value of unity, cooperation, and responsible financial management among the FIA members.
These investments are expected to strengthen the ability of FIA to support its member IAs, improve access and mobility in agricultural areas, and provide better services to farmer-beneficiaries. More importantly, they demonstrate what can be achieved when irrigators work together toward a shared goal. Through collective effort and a strong commitment to the farming community, the FIA continues to build a more capable, self-reliant, and sustainable organization.
