3 WANTED PERSONS ARRESTED; FIREARM, AMMO, ILL CI******ES RECOVERED IN NEPPO’S OPLAN GALUGAD

CAMP GEN. MARIANO N. LLANERA, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija — Nueva Ecija police intensified the implementation of OPLAN GALUGAD under the Joint Police and Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams Mobilization Toward Crime Prevention and Detection in Central Luzon (JBM Patrol System), resulting in the arrest of three (3) wanted persons and the recovery of a firearm, ammunition, and assorted illicit ci******es on September 4, 2026.

Based on the reports, personnel of San Leonardo MPS arrested two (2) wanted persons for Qualified Theft and Consented Abduction, while Nampicuan MPS arrested one (1) individual for violation of Section 5(i) of R.A. 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004), in relation to Section 6 of R.A. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

The arrested individuals are currently under the custody of the concerned police stations for documentation, investigation, and appropriate legal disposition.

Meanwhile, as part of the intensified campaign against loose fi****ms, personnel of Laur MPS facilitated the voluntary surrender of one (1) homemade shotgun and one (1) piece of 12-gauge ammunition. The surrendered firearm and ammunition were turned over to the Property and Evidence Custodian of Laur MPS for proper disposition.

In separate operations, personnel of Sto. Domingo, Quezon, Gen. Natividad, Jaen, Palayan City, Pantabangan, and Gapan City police stations recovered a total of 41 reams of assorted illicit ci******es valued at Php37,920.00. The recovered items were secured by the respective police units for proper disposition.

These accomplishments demonstrate the importance of strong police-community partnership and collective vigilance.
