Quirino delegates proudly and honorably took part in the First Northern Luzon Rescuelympics held on March 16โ20, 2026 in Apayao.
Composed of some of the provinceโs finest and most dedicated responders, the team showcased exceptional skill, discipline, and courage: Jomar R. De Vera, Joannah Kaye D. Sanchez, Jayson C. Gamit, Bonn Justine A. Badua, Romelio P. Yaranon, John Ray L. Dumaing, Mary Ann M. Crisostomo, Gerald M. Pascual, and Christian Joshua P. Taguding from PDRRMO Quirino; Demer Jhon M. Baquiran of Aglipay MDRRMO; Ryan R. Dabbay and Fervin Lex P. Puguon of Diffun MDRRMO; and from BFP Quirino, Jonathan D. Salinas, Gary T. Mostoles, and Gano R. Bangsoyao. Steering the team to excellence were their esteemed coaches, Mr. Benjamin V. Viray and Mr. Joediaz S. Baltazar.
In its historic first-ever appearance, Team Quirino did not merely participate โ they made a powerful statement. With unwavering resolve and indomitable spirit, they stood shoulder to shoulder with the strongest contingents from Regions I, II, and the Cordillera Administrative Region, ultimately claiming an impressive 6th place finish.
More than that, they captured the admiration of spectators and media alike, emerging as a standout and crowd favoriteโproof that Quirino is a force to be reckoned with.
This achievement is not just a placement, it is a proud declaration of the provinceโs strength, unity, and rising excellence in the field of emergency response. It reflects the heart of every responder who trains, serves, and sacrifices for the safety of others.
