Sa patuloy na pagkilala sa mga natatanging barangay na nagpapakita ng mahusay na pamamahala, makabagong mga programa, at huwarang pamumuno, muling isinasagawa ng DILG Quirino, katuwang ang Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Quirino, ang 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 o 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗜 𝗜𝘁𝗶 𝗞𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗮𝗻.

Bilang paghahanda sa isinagawang Onsite Evaluation, nagsagawa ng Preparatory Meeting ang Provincial Evaluation Team (PET) noong Agosto 6, 2026 sa DILG Provincial Office, Cabarroguis, Quirino. Tinalakay sa pagpupulong ang mga alituntunin, pamamaraan ng pagsusuri, at mga tungkulin ng bawat evaluator upang matiyak ang maayos at patas na pag-assess sa mga nominado.

Ang Onsite Evaluation ay isinagawa noong Agosto 12, 13, at 18, 2026 sa mga barangay na nominado para sa nasabing parangal. Sinuri ng PET ang iba’t ibang programa, inisyatiba, at mga natamong tagumpay ng bawat barangay bilang bahagi ng masusing proseso ng pagpili ng mga karapat-dapat na pagkalooban ng pagkilala.

Ngayong Agosto 19, 2026, muling nagpulong ang PET upang isagawa ang deliberasyon at talakayin ang mga resulta ng isinagawang pagsusuri. Ang mga napiling kampeon ay magiging kinatawan ng Lalawigan ng Quirino sa 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 (𝗘𝗔𝗚𝗟𝗘), ang prestihiyosong programa ng DILG Region 2 na nagbibigay-pugay sa mga natatanging barangay sa rehiyon.

Ipinagkaloob ngayong ika-11 ng Agosto 2026 ang 𝘉𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘺 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘴’ 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 (𝘉𝘖𝘋𝘉𝘈) na nagkakahalaga ng labindalawang libong piso (₱12,000.00) sa benepisyaryo ng isang dating miyembro ng Sangguniang Barangay mula sa Barangay San Dionisio I, Maddela, Quirino.

Isinagawa ang paggawad ng tseke sa tanggapan ng Pinunong Tagapagpakilos ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Maddela, na pinangunahan ni Punong Kumpol Michael E. Camacam.

Ang BODBA ay isang tulong pinansyal na ipinagkakaloob sa mga benepisyaryo ng mga namayapang opisyal ng barangay, kabilang ang Punong Barangay, mga miyembro ng Sangguniang Barangay, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson, Barangay Treasurer, at Barangay Secretary na nanungkulan mula 2002 at sa mga sumunod na taon. Layunin nitong masusing suriin ang pagganap ng lupon sa epektibong pagpapatupad ng Katarungang Pambarangay, kabilang ang mahusay na paglutas ng mga alitan, maayos na pangangasiwa ng mga rekord, at pagpapatupad ng mga programang nagtataguyod ng kapayapaan, kaayusan, at pagkakaisa sa komunidad.

In a proactive push to strengthen local governance and bolster community-level safety; welfare networks; and grassroots protection mechanisms, DILG-Quirino attended and provided technical assistance during the conduct of Capacity Development Training for the members of the Municipal Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (MCAT-VAWC), the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC), Barangay VAW (BVAW) Desk Officers, and Barangay Secretaries spearheaded by the LGU-Maddela, through its Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), at LGU-Maddela Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) Function Hall yesterday, July 21, 2026.

Participants were equipped with needed knowledge on Anti-Trafficking Law as well as Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313) which was discussed by Associate Provincial Prosecutor Jorlette L. Bibangco. LGOO V Gladys S. Luna presented tackled the following topics: i) Safe Spaces Act Assessment, ii) LCAT-VAWC Functionality Assessment, iii) LCAT-VAWC Annual Work and Financial Plan (AWFP); iv) AWFP Accomplishment Report and v) Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) Work and Financial Plan (WFP) while MLGOO Arceli S. Diaz discussed the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) Functionality.

The initiative aims to strengthen coordination; provide technical guidance; and enhance the implementation of program and services that promote the protection and welfare of children, women and other vulnerable sectors in the community.

𝐃𝐈𝐋𝐆 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐮𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐧𝐁 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

DILG Diffun, in partnership with the Liga nga mga Barangay Diffun Chapter, successfully conducted the Orientation-Workshop on Barangay Development Plan Formulation on July 14–16, 2026 in Cauayan City, Isabela.

The activity underscored the importance of crafting development plans grounded in reliable data and responsive to the actual needs and priorities of the community. By utilizing evidence-based planning, barangays can identify key development challenges, allocate resources more effectively, and implement programs and projects that create meaningful and lasting impact.

DILG Provincial Director Karen Joy C. Pablico-Castro, CESE, Hon. May Garnace-Calaunan, Municipal Mayor, Hon. Marlito G. Corpuz, Vice Mayor, Hon. Gloria C. Antolin and Hon. John Cleifferson H. Yogyog graced the activity. DILG Cluster Head Michael E. Camacam, MLGOO Erick C. Danao, MLGOO Razel P. Codamon, LGOO V Gladys S. Luna and LGOO II Ronel Q. Oandasan of DILG Quirino and MPDC Charito T. Yangat of LGU Diffun served as Resource Persons during the activity.

Through this capacity-building initiative, barangay officials strengthened their skills in preparing comprehensive and inclusive plans that support sustainable development and improved public service delivery.

The Province of Quirino successfully concluded its three-day Training Workshop on the Infrastructure Audit (IA) Program held on July 14-16, 2026 at the Quirino Watersports Complex, Capitol Hills, San Marcos, Cabarroguis, Quirino.

The activity aimed to strengthen the capability of the Local Infrastructure Audit Team (LIAT) in conducting systematic assessment of public infrastructures using the Infrastructure Audit Tool, in line with the government’s continuing efforts to promote disaster resilience and public safety.

The training featured discussions on the provisions of DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2025-071, relevant building codes and standards, as well as the components and application of the IA Tool. Resource speakers from the DILG Regional and Provincial Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) together with partner institutions from the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) under the Local Infrastructure Learning Hub (LILHUB), facilitated the sessions and provided technical guidance to the participants.

Participants conducted actual field monitoring and inspection of facilities within the venue of the activity using the IA Tool, allowing them to apply the concepts discussed during the training in an actual setting.

Following the field exercise and presentation of reports, facilitators provided comments and recommendations to further improve the participants’ understanding, appreciation and application of the tool.

The training set the province with a capacity development, and with the ease of accomplishing reports in strengthening local disaster preparedness initiatives.

Joined the activity were members of the LIAT, composed of representatives from various provincial and municipal offices, together with the MLGOOs.

DILG Quirino monitored the Rice Distribution Project funded under the Local Government Support Fund - Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) in various barangays of the Municipality of Maddela on July 9, 2026.

Moreover, same activity was monitored in various barangays in Aglipay last June 26, 2026.

Earlier today, July 8, 2026, the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) Committee, composed of representatives from the DILG, Philippine Army, Quirino Police Provincial Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, and Civil Society Organization, conducted the Technical Inspection and Turn-in of Firearm of Former Rebel (FR) held at the Quirino Police Provincial Office, San Leonardo, Aglipay.

In accordance with DILG-DND Joint Memorandum Circular No. 01 dated September 22, 2021, the ECLIP Committee is mandated to evaluate and determine the cost valuation of turned-in fi****ms. The corresponding firearm remuneration shall serve as additional financial assistance to support the individual reintegration plans of FRs and Former Violent Extremists (FVEs).

The provision of firearm remuneration is one of the assistance packages under the ECLIP, a DILG-administered initiative that provides support to FRs and FVEs in their transition toward peaceful, productive, and meaningful reintegration into their respective communities.
