Aprubado na ang Ordinance No. 2026-003 sang Barangay Jerusalem!

Ginaregulate sini ang temporaryo nga paggamit sang main roads sa Jerusalem Ville 1 kag Jerusalem Ville 2, Purok Nazareth, Barangay Jerusalem sa ti-on sang kasal, bunyag, birthday, haya o kun ano man nga pareho nga okasyon, ginabawal ang pagsira sang duha ka lanes. Kinahanglan nga may isa ka lane nga abre permi para sa publiko, agud masiguro ang kaluwasan, hapsay nga dalagan sang trapiko, kag dali nga pagresponde sang emergency.

Magkuha sang permit sa barangay kun mag gamit sang dalan kun may haya o maghiwat sang okasyon sa dalan.

It is with heavy hearts that Barangay Jerusalem mourns the passing of Francisco 'Sir Iko' Dela Peña, who left us on August 30, 2024. Sir Iko, as he was affectionately known by many, was more than just a Head Teacher at Jerusalem National High School; he was a pillar of our community, a dedicated educator, and a firm yet friendly leader who profoundly impacted the lives of his students and the entire barangay.

Sir Iko's unwavering commitment to education was evident in his efforts to transform Jerusalem National High School from a mere extension of Villacin National High School into the thriving institution it is today. His leadership and vision helped shape the future of countless students, many of whom have gone on to become successful professionals. His passion for education was matched only by his dedication to the values of scouting, which he revitalized with great enthusiasm, instilling discipline, camaraderie, and a love for nature in the youth of our barangay.

His remarkable contributions to our barangay and to the lives of those he mentored will be remembered for generations. Sir Iko's legacy is one of service, compassion, and a deep commitment to the betterment of our community. His loss is felt deeply by all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to inspire us.

During this difficult time, our hearts and prayers go out to Sir Iko's family. May you find comfort in the memories of his extraordinary life and the lasting impact he made on all of us. Rest in peace, Sir Iko. Your legacy will forever be cherished in Barangay Jerusalem.

Barangay Jerusalem Holds Successful Kalinisan Day Cleanup Drive

On August 31, 2024, Barangay Jerusalem conducted its Kalinisan Day, a community-driven cleanup initiative aimed at promoting environmental stewardship. The event saw active participation from various sectors of the community, including three Barangay Officials, eight Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Officials, and 29 youths from the area.

Throughout the day, the volunteers worked tirelessly to clean up different parts of the barangay, collecting an estimated 80 kilograms of garbage. The initiative not only contributed to the cleanliness of the community but also highlighted the importance of youth involvement in maintaining a sustainable environment.

The event is part of ongoing efforts to encourage residents to take an active role in keeping their surroundings clean and green.

On August 24, 2024, Barangay Jerusalem successfully conducted a Kalinisan Day, an event aimed at fostering community cleanliness and environmental awareness. This event was held in conjunction with the SK Linggo ng Kabataan, a 3-day celebration dedicated to the empowerment and active participation of the youth in community development.

The Kalinisan Day was well-attended, with 4 Barangay Officials, 8 Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Officials, and 45 motivated youths from the barangay coming together to contribute their time and energy to the cause. The participants spread out across various areas within Barangay Jerusalem, working diligently to remove waste and clean up public spaces.

Through their concerted efforts, the group managed to collect approximately 120 kilograms of garbage, a remarkable achievement that underscores the significance of such community-driven initiatives. The activity not only resulted in a cleaner environment but also served as an educational experience for the youth, emphasizing the importance of environmental responsibility and the positive impact they can make in their community.

This collaboration between the Barangay and the SK officials, alongside the active involvement of the youth, reflects the strong sense of civic duty and community spirit that exists in Barangay Jerusalem. The Kalinisan Day, as part of the SK Linggo ng Kabataan, was a clear demonstration of how collective action can lead to meaningful and lasting change.
