On April 30, 2026, the Cadiz City PPO, through its probation clients and Volunteer Probation Assistants, conducted a feeding program for the children of Purok Kakahuyan. The activity, held under the leadership and supervision of CPPO Leni Ann L. Maido, Office Chief, was made possible through the active participation of office personnel and dedicated VPAs, namely: Helen Dela Cruz, Maricel Ardeña, Sedne Amayna, Frederick Acumabig, Danilo Ore, Bonifacio Jubay Jr., Florentino Narrajos Jr., and Liberty Fernandez. The initiative, carried out under the project “Food for Child,” served as a meaningful platform for community engagement.

Through this outreach, the program helped reduce the stigma often associated with probation clients by highlighting their ability to contribute positively to society. By focusing on the welfare of children, the activity fostered empathy, compassion, and a strong sense of social responsibility among participants. It emphasized that rehabilitation goes beyond compliance with conditions. On April 30, 2026, the Cadiz City PPO, under the leadership and supervision of CPPO Leni Ann L. Maido, actively participated in the Post-Earth Day coastal clean-up activity spearheaded by the Office of the City Mayor, led by Hon. Salvador G. Escalante Jr.. The activity was held at Purok Kakahuyan, bringing together various sectors of the community in a unified effort to protect and preserve the coastal environment.

The initiative was participated in by personnel of this office, probation clients, and Volunteer Probation Assistants, alongside members of the Barangay Council of Barangay Daga, fisherfolk associations, the Cadiz City PNP, City Jail personnel, BFP, PCG, and CENRO. Beyond environmental protection, the activity also reinforced the role of community engagement in the rehabilitation process, instilling a sense of responsibility, cooperation, and civic awareness among probationers as they contribute positively to society.

The Cadiz City Parole and Probation Office with the CASIDLAC VPA Association in a unified effort to support environmental sustainability and protect the future of our planet joins the 2026 Earth Hour. The initiative was led by CPPO Leni Ann L. Maido, in collaboration with the association’s leadership, including VPA President Helen Dela Cruz and Volunteer Probation Assistants (VPAs) Jerry Artuyo, Maricel Ardeña, Florentino Narajos Jr., Frederick Acumabig, and Sedne Amayna.

Aligned with this year’s Earth Hour theme, the activity emphasized the importance of sustainable practices and energy conservation. Participants actively engaged in initiatives aimed at raising awareness on reducing carbon footprints, promoting renewable energy, and safeguarding natural resources for future generations.

On March 27, 2026, the Cadiz City PPO headed by CPPO LENI ANN L. MAIDO, MPA, Office Chief, together with PPOII ABANCIO, ADA IV BARRANCO, and VPAs HELEN DELA CRUZ, TEODORO DELOS SANTOS, and FLORENTINO NARAJOS JR., conducted an Information Drive during the Barangay Assembly of Barangay Sicaba, Cadiz City.

CPPO Maido discussed the salient features of PD 968, RA 4103, and the Community Service Law. She highlighted the importance of community involvement in the rehabilitation process of individuals under probation, parole, and conditional pardon. Her message emphasized the office's commitment to fostering a supportive environment for reintegration.

The activity also featured a discussion on the Volunteerism program of the office, encouraging community members to participate and contribute to the rehabilitation efforts. This initiative aims to strengthen community participation in the continuous rehabilitation process of probationers, parolees, and conditional pardonees, promoting a safer and more supportive community.

The Information Drive was attended by Punong Barangay Hon. Mario Dela Peña, Barangay Council, Barangay Staff, and other community stakeholders. Also present were Ensign Darby Ceasar Dolor of the Philippine Coast Guard and his personnel and PCG Cadiz Viejo Station Deputy Petty Officer 1Class Michael Quebrar, showcasing inter-agency collaboration in promoting community welfare. The event was a success, with participants showing enthusiasm and interest in the programs discussed.

The Cadiz City Parole and Probation Office (PPO) solemnly observes the Lenten Season through meaningful spiritual activities aimed at fostering reflection, repentance, and renewal of faith among its personnel and clients. This observance serves as an opportunity to strengthen spiritual values and encourage personal transformation.

Through these activities, the office continues to promote not only the rehabilitation and reintegration of its clients into society but also the development of moral and spiritual responsibility in accordance with the principles of restorative justice and community involvement.

As part of the continuing efforts to support the rehabilitation of probationers and parolees and to promote a sense of responsibility toward the community and the environment, the Cadiz City Parole and Probation Office implemented the project titled “Transforming Plastic Waste into Environmental Hope.”

The activity was conducted under the leadership and supervision of CPPO Leni Ann L. Maido, Office Chief, in collaboration with the CASIDLAC Volunteer Probation Assistants Association. The initiative encouraged clients to actively participate in environmental protection through the collection of recyclable plastic bottles.

The collected plastic waste will be sold to a recycling facility where it will be processed and transformed into useful materials. Through this initiative, the office aims to contribute to waste reduction while instilling environmental awareness among the clients.

Moreover, the clients were oriented on proper waste segregation in compliance with Republic Act No. 9003, also known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000, to further promote responsible waste management practices within the community.
