DMW WARNS OF FAKE “WORK ABROAD” OFFERS ON SOCIAL MEDIA
The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) once again warns the public against fake “work abroad” offers circulating on social media. According to the DMW, applicants should be wary of recruitment posts that promise quick leave, high pay, and an easy process in exchange for hefty fees.
Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. reminded. Cacdac is the public that does not have enough office, social media page, or foreigner with a group to claim it is a legal recruitment agency. Applicants with a license from DMW should ensure that the recruiter, its staff are registered, and working visa, not tourist visa, are the documents to be processed before leaving the country.
The DMW also advises the public to review documents, contracts, and fees, and to always ask for an official receipt for each transaction. Suspicious recruitment activity can be reported to DMW Anti-Illegal Recruitment and DMW AIRTIP pages, call 8722-1144 and 8722-1155, or email [email protected] . ph](mail: [email protected] . ph) at [ [email protected] . ph](mail: [email protected] . ph).
