AFP Ranks Among Top Trusted Government Institutions in Latest TNM Survey

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomes the results of the latest Tugon ng Masa (TNM) nationwide survey conducted by OCTA Research from March 19 to 25, 2026, which show that 72% of adult Filipinos trust the AFP, while 70% express satisfaction with its service performance.

The AFP noted that these results place the institution among the most trusted and best-performing government agencies in the country, reflecting sustained public confidence in its mandate and overall performance.

Conducted nationwide across the National Capital Region (NCR), Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the survey shows that the AFP’s trust and performance ratings have remained steady over the past three quarters. Regionally, the highest trust (75%) and satisfaction (73%) ratings for the AFP are recorded in the Visayas.

The AFP expressed its appreciation to the Filipino people for their continued confidence and support, emphasizing that public trust serves as a vital motivation for its personnel to further strengthen professionalism, accountability, and excellence in service as it fulfills its constitutional mandate.

IN PHOTOS || The 8th Air Reserve Center, Air Force Reserve Command, in partnership with Junior Chamber International Bai Lawanen Incorporated and Rotaract Club of Carmen Valley, conducted a Peace and Development Forum through awareness on CTG recruitment and the West Philippine Sea “Mulat” campaign via Zoom VTC.

The activity aims to enhance public awareness on the deceptive recruitment strategies of Communist Terrorist Groups (CTG), strengthen understanding of national security concerns related to the West Philippine Sea, and promote peace, patriotism, and civic responsibility among participants. It further seeks to empower the youth and community members to become vigilant against misinformation and radicalization while fostering collaboration among partner organizations in support of peace and development initiatives.

LOOK || The 8th Air Reserve Center, Air Force Reserve Command, together with the 590th Air Base Group Reserve, conducted crowd control operations in support of the Kaamulan Festival held in Malaybalay City. The activity was carried out in coordination with local government units, law enforcement agencies, and event organizers to ensure the orderly conduct of festival activities attended by large numbers of residents and visitors. The deployment focused on maintaining public safety, regulating pedestrian flow, and preventing congestion in key areas where major cultural presentations and public gatherings were conducted.

During the operation, personnel were strategically positioned at designated entry and exit points, main thoroughfares, and other high-traffic locations to effectively manage crowd movement and provide immediate assistance to festival participants. The team also remained vigilant in monitoring the surroundings for any potential safety concerns while extending assistance to civilians whenever necessary. The presence of uniformed personnel contributed to the peaceful and organized atmosphere of the celebration, ensuring that festival activities proceeded smoothly without untoward incidents.

LOOK || The 8th Air Reserve Center (8th ARCen), Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), led by LTC PAULINO ANTONIO T LOMOLJO PAF (GSC), conducted a five-day Mountain Search and Rescue (MOSAR) Training for the personnel of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon to enhance their capability in responding to emergencies in mountainous and remote areas.

During the training, participants were equipped with essential rescue skills including map reading and land navigation, patient care and handling, and the proper use of rescue equipment to ensure safe and effective search and rescue operations. The activity strengthened the responders’ skills, coordination, and overall preparedness in managing disaster and emergency situations, especially in challenging terrain. Through this initiative, the 8th ARCen reaffirmed its commitment to support local government units in building resilient communities and improving disaster response capabilities.

Watch the 8th Air Reserve Center, Air Force Reserve Command, together with Tactical Operations Group 10, 590th Air Base Group Reserve, and TOG 10 Reserve, as they demonstrate teamwork, skill, and resilience during the two-day Total Force Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response Challenge held on March 25–26 at Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Camp Panacan, Davao City. Through demanding search and rescue simulations, life-saving procedures, and communication exercises, participants showcased their readiness to act with precision and unity ready to respond with heart in times of disaster. Rising above the challenge, the combined team of the 8th Air Reserve Center and its Reserve Units, together with TOG 10, emerged as the Overall Champion of HADR Challenge 2026, highlighting their unwavering commitment to saving lives and strengthening unified disaster response.

LOOK || The 8th Air Reserve Center (ARCen), Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), led by LTC PAULINO ANTONIO T LOMOLJO PAF (GSC), together with personnel from the 15th Strike Wing and 590th Air Base Group Reserve, along with representatives from various government and non-government agencies, actively participated Freedom March and Flag Raising Ceremony in connection with the 84th Araw ng Kagitingan celebration held at Kiosko Kagawasan, Divisoria, Cagayan de Oro City.

The activity carried the theme “Giting ng Bayani, Pamana sa Salimlahi,” highlighting the courage and sacrifices of Filipino heroes and the importance of preserving their legacy for future generations.
