GIPASIDUNGGAN sa lokal nga kagamhanan, pinaagi sa City Health Office (CHO), ang pipila ka health centers ug YAKAP facilities sa syudad isip pag-ila sa ilang dedikasyon ug excellent performance sa pagpatuman sa PuroKalusugan ug YAKAP programs adlaw’ng Lunes, Agosto 10, 2026.

Gihatag ang maong mga pasidungog atol sa flag-raising ceremony, diin mitambong ang mga opisyal ug kawani sa City Health Office, lakip ang mga representante sa mga barangay nga nakadawat sa mga awards.

Alang sa PuroKalusugan Program, ang Barangay Iponan, Balulang, ug Puntod Health Centers maoy nakasulod sa Top 3 sa interviews. Sa bahin usab sa encoding, ang Barangay Iponan Health Center nahimong Top 1, gisundan sa Pagatpat ug Lumbia Health Centers.

APOO CONDUCTS TRAINING FOR 40 FARMERS

FORTY farmer‑beneficiaries entered their second month of training under the season‑long Organic Vegetable Farmers Field School (FFS) with another session held Tuesday (August 11) at Sitio Caban Caban, Barangay Tablon.

Facilitating the training are personnel of the City Agricultural Productivity Operations Office (APOO), where they equipped the participants with practical skills on vegetable crop establishment.

The activity was also conducted in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), which will later assess the farmers and issue them certificates of competency upon completion of the program in October.

Farmers engaged in hands-on planting and transplanting of ampalaya, okra, eggplant, string beans, and watermelon inside the sitio’s greenhouses.

The groups worked on different soil plots enriched with compost, vermicast, chicken dung, vermicast + compost, and chicken dung + compost, applying sustainable nutrient inputs to strengthen crop growth.

CITY HOSPITAL-LUMBIA NAGSAULOG SA NATIONAL HOSPITAL WEEK

Isip kabahin sa pagsaulog sa 2026 National Hospital Week, nagpahigayon ang City Hospital-Lumbia og “Juan Health for JuaNation,” usa ka Public Health Education Sessions nga ipahigayon sa mga Out-Patient Department (OPD) gikan Lunes hangtod Miyerkules, Agosto 10-12 ning tuig.

Sa unang health education session, nahisgutan ni Doktora Lowela Intud ang Scabies ug Pediculosis, duha ka kasagarang makatakod nga kondisyon sa panit nga makuha sa mga gagmayng external parasites diin pareho kini nga makahatag ug grabi ka pangatol sa panit.

Ang Scabies makuha sa Sarcoptes scabiei diin mosulod ug maghimo og gagmayng tunnel sa ibabaw nga bahin sa panit ug dinhi kini mopuyo ug mangitlog. Samtang ang Pediculosis makuha sa mga kuto o lice nga mosuyop og dugo gikan sa panit.

Ang maong mga sakit matambalan ang pinaagi sa hustong paggamit sa prescription medicated creams ug shampoos, depende sa rekomendasyon sa healthcare professionals.

MASS-SPECC CELEBRATES 60TH ANNIVERSARY

THE Mindanao Alliance of Self-Help Societies – Southern Philippines Educational Cooperative Center (MASS-SPECC) marked its 60th Diamond Jubilee on Monday, Aug. 10.

Founded on August 9, 1966 in Cagayan de Oro by lawyers Mordino R. Cua and Aquilino Pimentel Sr.—both officers of the Ateneo Cooperative Credit Union—MASS-SPECC began as a modest Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) to organize local co-operatives through lectures.

It then evolved into a pioneering Federation that supports community empowerment, financial inclusion, and co-operative education across Mindanao.

From its humble beginnings in Cagayan de Oro, MASS-SPECC has grown into Mindanao’s largest regional co-operative federation.

CITY COUNCIL APPROVES 2026 BRGY BUDGETS, CONTINGENCY PLANS, KEY ORDINANCES

THE 21st City Council held its 48th regular session on Monday afternoon, Aug. 10, as presided by Vice Mayor Jocelyn ‘Bebot’ Rodriguez.

During the session, the City Council approved several annual budgets, contingency plans, and key ordinances, including the following:

1.Proposed Resolution Nos. 2026-374-2026-375-Declaring operative the CY 2026 Annual Budgets of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangays Bayabas and No. 33, with estimated incomes of P2,081,555.00 and P381,152.00, respectively.

2.Proposed Resolution No. 2026-376-Approving and adopting the Contingency Plan on Drought in the Agricultural Sector of Cagayan de Oro City as of May 2026.

3.Proposed Resolution No. 2026-377-Approving and adopting the Contingency Plan on Earthquake of Cagayan de Oro City as of May 2026.

4.Proposed Resolution No. 2026-378-Confirming Executive Order No. 336, Series of 2026, reconstituting the Human Resource Merit, Promotion, and Selection Board of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro.

5.Proposed Ordinance No. 2026-365-Approving Supplemental Budget No. 2 of the General Fund and Supplemental Budget No. 1 of the Special Account for CY 2026, each balanced at P73,886,601.00 and P14,819,216.00, respectively.
