BRGY INFO OFFICERS ELECT OWN OFFICERS AFTER COMPLETING SEMINAR

THE newly formed 'Association of Barangay Information Officers' (ABIO) elected their set of officers after completing their capacity building seminar held at the City Tourism Hall on Thursday, May 14.

Cagayan de Oro City Hall under Mayor Rolando โ€˜Klarexโ€™ Uy's administration congratulated the newly elected officers and expressed support for their role in strengthening information dissemination at the barangay level.

Here is the list of the newly elected ABIO officers:

President: Merlyn Majarocon (Barangay Carmen)
Vice President for Urban: Ken Ranan (Barangay Lapasan)
Vice President for Rural: Joel Andales (Barangay Balubal)
Secretary: Jeovanie Cajote (Barangay Patag)

66 BIOS MISALMOT SA STRATEGIC INFORMATION DISSEMINATION SEMINAR

MOABOT sa 66 ka mga Barangay Information Officers (BIO) sa Cagayan de Oro ang aktibong misalmot sa gipahigayon nga 'capacity-building seminar for BIOs on Strategic Information Dissemination', nga gipasiugda sa City Information Office, Huwebes, Mayo 14, sa City Tourism Hall.

Ang kalihokan gipangunahan ni Acting CIO Jade Adeser sa tinguha nga mabansay ang mga BIOs sa paghatod sa husto, paspas, ug mahinungdanong impormasyon sa mga kabaranggayan, ingon man ang mga lakang pagbatok sa nagkuyanap nga misinformation, disinformation o fake news ugs mal-information.

CITY HALL OPENS RISE HEROES E-SPORTS LEAGUE

CAGAYAN de Oro City Hall under Mayor Rolando 'Klarex' Uy's leadership officially kicked off the two-day RISE HEROES E-Sports League at the City Hall quadrangle on Thursday, May 14.

Organized by Alain Roy Romero the event is joined by contenders of various local government offices and ends on Friday, May 15.

The tournament opened with a ceremonial entrance of E-players carrying the banners of their respective offices, while some offices were also accompanied by their muses.

About 25 teams are competing in the tournament, playing one of todayโ€™s most popular online games, 'Mobile Legends,' in a two-day battle for the championship title.

The event reflects Mayor Klarexโ€™s support in promoting diverse types of sports, including e-sports, which has become highly popular among todayโ€™s generation.
