Barangay First 1,000 Days (BF1KD) Expansion Launching and First Session

The Barangay First 1,000 Days (BF1KD) Expansion Launching and First Session was successfully conducted, bringing together pregnant women, lactating mothers, health personnel, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHW), and community leaders in support of maternal and child nutrition and health.
The activity was graced by Ms. Caroline A. Cabunoc, City Nutrition Action Officer (CNAO), Kagawad Ruel Gamao, Midwife III Lilibeth Molina, and Nurse III Maureen V. Guinanao, who shared valuable information on the importance of proper nutrition, health care, and support during the critical first 1,000 days of life—from pregnancy until a child reaches two years of age.
Participants actively engaged in the discussions and pledged their commitment to promoting healthy practices for mothers and young children in the community. The program also emphasized the shared responsibility of families, health workers, and local leaders in ensuring the well-being of every child.
This meaningful activity was made possible through the unwavering support of the Barangay Council of Camaman-an and the leadership of Punong Barangay Hon. Carl Harrison “Bodie” D. Galarrita, whose dedication continues to strengthen health and nutrition programs for the benefit of the community.
Together, we are building healthier families and giving every child the best start in life through the BF1KD Program.

Adela Creekside Fire Incident Response

📍 Adela Creekside, Barangay Camaman-an
In response to the Adela Creekside Fire Incident on June 7, 2026, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHW), Community Diet Technicians (CDT), and Barangay Council members actively provided assistance and support to the affected families for four (4) consecutive days.
The team was assigned to prepare and cook meals for the fire victims and conduct weighing and nutritional assessment of children aged 0–59 months to monitor their nutritional status during the emergency situation. Continuous nutrition and health services were provided to ensure the well-being of vulnerable groups, especially young children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers.
Based on the incident report:
19 houses affected (16 totally damaged, 3 partially damaged)
36 families affected
40 families and individuals displaced
139 persons affected
1 casualty recorded
This collective effort demonstrated the commitment, compassion, and teamwork of the barangay officials, health workers, and volunteers in providing immediate relief and support to families affected by the fire incident. Special thanks to Punong Barangay Carl Harrison S. Galarrita, the Barangay Council, BHWs, CDT, and all responders for their dedication and unwavering service to the community during this challenging time.

BARANGAY NUTRITION COMMITTEE (BNC) 2ND QUARTER MEETING

The Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC) successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Meeting on June 9, 2026, attended by CNPC Sylvia Gonzalez, Hon. Kagawad on Health Jasmin T. Borja, Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Child Development Teachers (CDT), health personnel, elementary school teachers, and the 4Ps Focal Person.
Key Agenda Discussed:
✅ OPT 1st Round Results
The committee reviewed and discussed the results of the 1st Round Operation Timbang Plus (OPT) to assess the nutritional status of children in the barangay and identify priority interventions.
✅ Nutrition Month 2026 Activities
Plans and preparations for Nutrition Month were discussed, including:
Urban Container Gardening
Garden Contest
Community participation in nutrition-related activities
✅ BF1KD Launching
The upcoming Breastfeeding and First 1,000 Days (BF1KD) Program Launching scheduled on June 10, 2026 was presented and coordinated among committee members.

The Child Development Teachers reported their upcoming 180-day feeding program to support the nutritional needs of children under their care.
📌 Elementary School Report
Teachers provided updates on the ongoing feeding program for kindergarten learners to ensure proper nutrition and improved school performance.
Other Matters Discussed:
♻️ "Basura Mo, Nutrition Ko" Program
The committee discussed the launching of the "Basura Mo, Nutrition Ko" initiative, encouraging schools and community members to collect recyclable materials such as:
Plastic bottles
Cartons
Papers
Cans
Other recyclable waste materials
This activity aims to promote environmental responsibility while supporting nutrition-related programs in the barangay.
The meeting concluded with active participation from all BNC members, reaffirming their commitment to improving the nutrition and health status of the community through collaborative efforts and sustainable programs.

A successful Monthly Meeting was conducted on June 5, 2026, at the 3rd Floor Barangay Hall, attended by the BBI members, Barangay Staff, Barangay Tanods, Administrative Staff, Maintenance Personnel, and Barangay Council Members.
The meeting served as a venue to discuss important barangay updates, ongoing programs, operational concerns, and upcoming activities. Participants actively shared reports, concerns, and recommendations to strengthen coordination and improve service delivery to the community.
The activity reinforced teamwork, collaboration, and commitment among all barangay personnel in achieving effective governance and quality public service for the residents of Barangay Camaman-an.

FUN FRIDAY WELLNESS ZUMBA ACTIVITY HIGHLIGHTS

As part of the Fun Friday Program for Barangay Employees, LGU Camaman-an successfully conducted a Wellness Zumba Activity aimed at promoting physical fitness, stress management, and employee well-being.
The activity was attended by Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHW), barangay staff, drivers, maintenance personnel, administrative staff, and members of the Barangay Council. Participants enthusiastically joined the Zumba session, fostering teamwork, camaraderie, and a positive working environment.
Through this Fun Friday initiative, employees were encouraged to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle while enjoying a productive and enjoyable break from their regular work routines. The activity highlighted the importance of wellness in building a motivated, energetic, and healthy workforce dedicated to serving the community.
The success of this activity was made possible through the support of Punong Barangay Carl Harrison S. Galarrita and the Barangay Council, who continue to promote programs that enhance the health and welfare of barangay personnel.
