Pedaling Towards Wellness, Unity, and Energy Conservation

On 07 May 2026, the personnel of the 15th Strike Wing joined the morning biking activity led by Wing Commander BGEN JOEL A INACAY PAF at Eden’s Solace, Cagayan de Oro City, in support to the observance of Carless Day and energy-saving initiatives.

The activity promoted physical fitness, unity, and esprit de corps among the Trojans as they enjoyed the scenic routes and refreshing atmosphere of the area. More than just a recreational ride, the activity highlighted the importance of adopting sustainable practices, reducing fuel consumption, and contributing to environmental preservation while fostering teamwork. Through activities such as this, the 15th Strike Wing continues to uphold discipline, wellness, and collective responsibility both in service and in the community

ONE WING. ONE MISSION. ONE STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE.
On 06 May 2026, BGEN JOEL A INACAY PAF, Wing Commander of the 15th Strike Wing, led a meaningful Talk to Pilots and Maintenance Crew, reinforcing the Wing’s guiding principle of being Mission-Oriented, Vision-Guided, and People-Valued (MVP). The session emphasized the critical role of discipline, coordination, and accountability in ensuring the success of every operation.

Central to the discussion was the well-being of personnel, highlighting that mission accomplishment begins with having the right people, equipped with both the proper attitude and aptitude, performing their duties. The Wing Commander stressed that excellence is not only built on skills, but also on mindset, commitment, and professionalism.

The engagement also underscored the importance of Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives, the prevention of Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC), and strict adherence to Philippine Air Force regulations. These efforts ensure a workplace environment that is respectful, inclusive, and secure for all personnel.

Moreover, the BGEN INACAY reminded everyone that genuine dedication stems from a deep sense of pride and love for the unit and the service. This is one of the values that drive each member to perform their daily tasks with purpose and integrity.

Through this engagement, pilots and maintenance personnel were reminded that true strength lies not only in capability, but in unity, integrity, and shared responsibility. On 05 May 2026, the 15th Strike Wing conducted the Donning of Ranks and Pinning of Chevrons to newly promoted personnel at Lumbia Air Base, Cagayan de Oro City, recognizing the hard-earned promotions of its newly advanced men and women.

This significant milestone reflects not only their dedication, discipline, and professionalism, but also their unwavering commitment to duty and excellence in service to the nation. Each rank earned stands as a testament to sacrifices made, challenges overcome, and the trust bestowed upon them as leaders and defenders of our skies.

15TH STRIKE WING JOINS ACC SIMULATION EXERCISE (SIMEX)”SANAY PUNGLO IV 04-26”

The 15th Strike Wing actively participated in SIMEX “Sanay Punglo IV-2026,” held at CERAB, Capas, Tarlac. The exercise enhanced interoperability, operational readiness, and coordination among participating units through realistic and scenario-based training activities.

Demonstrating its operational capability, the Wing showcased its air assets, including the A-29 Super Tucano, T129 ATAK Helicopter, and AW-109AH, reinforcing its ability to deliver precise, timely, and responsive air support in joint operations.

Through this exercise, the 15th Strike Wing further strengthened its preparedness to effectively address diverse operational challenges upholding professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to mission excellence.

Through dynamic flight operations and joint mission planning, our Trojans demonstrated combat readiness, tactical excellence, and unwavering commitment to defending the nation’s airspace. The A-29 Super Tucano continues to prove its reliability and effectiveness in modern air operations.

15TH STRIKE WING HOLDS MONTHLY SAFETY MEETING AT LUMBIA AIR BASE

On 17 April 2026, the 15th Strike Wing successfully conducted its Monthly Safety Meeting at Lumbia Air Base, Cagayan de Oro City, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to operational safety, risk management, and mission readiness. The activity gathered officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources from across the Wing in a collective effort to strengthen safety awareness and cultivate a proactive safety culture.

The meeting served as a vital platform to review significant flight and ground safety developments for March CY 2026. MAJ MARIA FRANCIA P ACACIO PAF, Assistant Chief Wing Safety, presented a comprehensive analysis of recorded mishaps and highlighted key insights derived from flight safety analytics. Through data-driven assessment and shared lessons learned, personnel were reminded of the importance of vigilance, discipline, and strict adherence to established safety protocols.

Further strengthening the Wing’s safety posture, SSG Cerdeña PAF and SGT Sanchez PAF delivered an informative Gun Safety Lecture, emphasizing responsible handling, proper storage, and strict compliance with fi****ms safety procedures. Meanwhile, SSG Resma PAF provided an in-depth discussion on Flight Line Safety, underscoring hazard identification, situational awareness, and teamwork in maintaining a secure and efficient operational environment.

A highlight of the activity was the presentation of the Wing Commander’s “Well-Done Award,” recognizing units that demonstrated outstanding commitment and performance in implementing safety programs for March CY 2026:

• Best Safety Program – Tactical Category: 16th Attack Squadron• Best Safety Program – Maintenance Category: 463rd Avionics Armaments Maintenance Squadron• Best Safety Program – Service Support Category: 19th Composite Tactical Training Squadron

In his guidance, the Deputy Wing Commander emphasized that safety is not merely a requirement but a core value that directly impacts mission success. He reminded everyone that maintaining a strong safety culture demands shared responsibility, constant awareness, and unwavering professionalism at all levels of command.

TROJANS IN ACTION: 15TH STRIKE WING JOINS 16TH MULTILATERAL MARITIME COOPERATIVE ACTIVITY

On 12 April 2026, the 15th Strike Wing, took part in the 16th Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity (MMCA), contributing air support through its A-29B Super Tucano aircraft in coordination with partner forces.

During the activity, 15th Strike Wing pilots successfully conducted aerial operations over the designated maritime area, establishing coordination with naval assets and executing precise overhead passes in support of a Photo Exercise (PHOTOEX), demonstrating disciplined airmanship, effective communication, and strong interoperability with partner forces.

The mission concluded with the safe recovery of the aircraft and crew. The Trojans’ participation reaffirms its commitment to strengthening multilateral cooperation in support of maritime security and regional stability.

15TH STRIKE WING COMMEMORATES ARAW NG KAGITINGAN

On 09 April 2026, the 15th Strike Wing proudly participated in the Flag Raising and Wreath Laying Ceremonies in commemoration of the 84th Araw ng Kagitingan, held at Kiosko Kagawasan, Cagayan de Oro City.

With the theme, “Giting ng Bayani, Pamana sa Salinlahi,” the activity paid tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and heroism of Filipino veterans who fought for the nation’s freedom. The ceremony served as a solemn reminder of their invaluable contributions and enduring legacy.

The activity not only honored the bravery of our heroes but also reaffirmed the 15th Strike Wing’s commitment to upholding the ideals they fought for and ensuring that their legacy continues to inspire future generations.

RETIREMENT VISIT OF MGEN CABACUÑGAN TO 15TH STRIKE WING

On 08 April 2026, the 15th Strike Wing warmly welcomed MGEN LLOYD S CABACUÑGAN, Internal Auditor of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, during his retirement visit to Lumbia Air Base.

The visit began with Arrival Honors, led by the Wing Commander, 15th Strike Wing, BGEN JOEL A INACAY PAF as the Military Host, followed by the Guest Book Signing symbolizing respect and appreciation for his distinguished service.

As part of the visit, a tree planting activity was conducted, representing growth, unity, and a lasting legacy of service. MGEN CABACUÑGAN also delivered a “Talk to Troops,” engaging the men and women of the 15th Strike Wing with words of wisdom, inspiration, and guidance drawn from his years of dedicated military service.

The activity highlighted not only a meaningful farewell but also reaffirmed the 15th Strike Wing’s commitment to excellence, professionalism, and service to the nation.
