PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office Cagayan de Oro (LHIO CDO) continued its workplace engagement initiatives through a series of PhilHealth Benefits and YAKAP Program Orientations conducted on July 24, 2026, across various companies under its area of coverage.

The activity reached more than 100 employees from Ricardo's by Cucina Higala, Golden Era Food Chain Inc., Laguindingan Airport Corporation, and RBJ Commodities Trading Exponent. Through these workplace orientations, participants gained a better understanding of their PhilHealth benefits and the services available under the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP).

PhilHealth personnel also assisted employees in selecting their preferred YAKAP-accredited primary care provider, preparing them for their First Patient Encounter (FPE)—an important step toward accessing comprehensive, preventive, and continuous primary healthcare services under the Universal Health Care (UHC) Act.

By bringing PhilHealth services directly to workplaces, LHIO CDO continues to empower employees with the knowledge and access they need to maximize their healthcare benefits. These initiatives reinforce PhilHealth's commitment to making healthcare information and services more accessible, ensuring that informed members become active participants in protecting their health and well-being.

PhilHealth Regional Office X participated in the IACT Stakeholders' Engagement Meeting on Investment Data Gathering and Repository Development on July 22, 2026, held at the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Regional Office X in Cagayan de Oro City.

Representing PhilHealth Region X, Merlyn Ybañez, Head of the Public Affairs Unit, together with Peach Dianne Pahilan, Public Affairs Unit Staff joined representatives from various government agencies in discussions aimed at strengthening interagency collaboration and enhancing the region's investment information system through improved data gathering and repository development.

The meeting, organized by the Board of Investments (BOI), highlighted the importance of coordinated government efforts in promoting investment, improving data-driven decision-making, and supporting regional economic growth. PhilHealth Region X's participation reflects its commitment to whole-of-government initiatives that contribute to efficient public service delivery and sustainable regional development.

Through active engagement in interagency programs, PhilHealth Region X continues to strengthen partnerships that support inclusive governance while advancing its mission of providing accessible and responsive healthcare services to every Filipino.

PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office Cagayan de Oro (LHIO CDO) joined the observance of the 48th National Disability Week, held from July 17–23, 2026, through a medical mission conducted on July 22, 2026, at Cagayan de Oro City Hall and Barangay Iponan, Cagayan de Oro City.

The activity benefited more than 300 participants, including persons with disabilities (PWDs) and their families, through a collaborative effort led by the Local Government Unit of Cagayan de Oro in partnership with the Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO), City Health Insurance Department, City Health Department, City Public Services Department, and PhilHealth LHIO CDO.

As part of the medical mission, PhilHealth provided membership registration, membership record updating, YAKAP registration, and assistance on PhilHealth benefits and services. Registered participants also completed their First Patient Encounter (FPE), enabling them to begin accessing comprehensive primary healthcare services under the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP).

The activity highlighted the importance of inclusive and accessible healthcare for all, reaffirming PhilHealth's commitment to the Universal Health Care (UHC) Act. Through strong collaboration with local government and community partners, LHIO CDO continues to ensure that persons with disabilities and their families receive quality, responsive, and people-centered healthcare services.

PhilHealth LHIO Bukidnon, in collaboration with the Persons with Disability (PWD) Office and the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Maramag, Bukidnon, successfully conducted the YAKAP Caravan for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) on July 28, 2026, at the Covered Court, Barangay North Poblacion, Maramag, Bukidnon.

The activity gathered more than 300 participants, primarily composed of persons with disabilities, through the support of the PWD Office and RHU Maramag. The caravan aimed to bring essential PhilHealth services closer to one of the country's priority sectors and strengthen access to primary healthcare.

During the activity, PhilHealth personnel facilitated the registration of new members, YAKAP provider assignment, First Patient Encounter (FPE), and medical consultations, ensuring that participants were properly enrolled and connected to their preferred primary care providers under the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP).

The initiative highlights PhilHealth's continuing commitment to the Universal Health Care (UHC) Act by promoting inclusive, accessible, and people-centered healthcare services for persons with disabilities and other vulnerable sectors, ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in achieving better health.

Residents of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, now have improved access to preventive healthcare services and free outpatient medicines following the launch of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)’s Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) and Guaranteed and Accessible Medications for Outpatient Treatment (GAMOT).

PhilHealth Northern Mindanao and the local government launched the services on July 9 to strengthen primary healthcare delivery and expand access to consultations, laboratory services, and maintenance medicines at the community level.

About 300 residents, barangay officials, local health workers, and PhilHealth members participated in the rollout, receiving membership assistance, YAKAP provider assignment, first patient consultations, select laboratory services, and access to prescribed medicines.
