The Buklod Piso Donation is our ED4 Peace Project Proposal. We are sharing this on social media to spread the word and draw attention to the problems our Lumad communities are facing, which includes poverty, discrimination, a lack of access to necessities, and abuse of human rights.
The project's inspiration “Buklod” comes from the Filipino word "pagkakaisa", which means "unity" in English. This project signifies one peso equaling one hope for our Lumad communities in Dansolihon. The goal of the project is to give necessities such as hygiene kits, food, water, and educational materials.
This is an effort of aspiring educators from XU-SOE, who are asking for your donations in providing immediate assistance to Lumad communities in Dansolihon, Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental.
This peace project also aims to address the marginalization experienced by the Lumads and ensure that they have access to some of their needs. Additionally, the project seeks to increase awareness by distributing brochure and publishing on social media, as well as to foster solidarity across all sectors in favor of Lumad Communities' rights and ancestral lands.
