The Other Side, a group of six students who want to remove the prevalent culture of victim-blaming in this country. Saying it was a victim’s fault that certain traumatic experiences that happened to them is harmful and we want to be able to change that. There are always two sides to a story, we have to learn not to shut the other down.

Victim-Blaming is real and it should cease to exist! There is no harm in listening to both sides of the story! The only harmful thing is taking sides when you only know one of them.

Victim-blaming is where victims are afraid to speak up because of the judgment from others.

According to Carline (2019), an advocate, her blog post entitled "Victim Blaming - How Do You Respond to it?" explains that there are proper ways to respond with it. These are the ways in responding to victim-blaming according to Carline:
1. You need to remind yourself that you are the victim and it wasn't your fault.
2. Confront your negative emotions.
3. Cut off toxic people in your life.
4. Seek professional help.

At this point, let us help someone and be the change our world needs.

"Blame the ra**st, not the victim." ✔️

Everybody needs to learn that IT IS NEVER THE VICTIM'S FAULT. Victim-blaming exists and it is wrong in every aspect. Help us in educating everyone about this matter. Help us protect the victims. Help us end victim-blaming.

These are only a few examples of what people often respond to victims of sexual violence.

They are not responsible for any traumatic experience that happened to them. Stop blaming victims for something that isn’t their fault.

Victim-blaming attributes reinforce what the perpetrator has said all the time - that it is the fault of the victim.
