March 15-16, 2024, at Midway Seafood Grill and Restaurant, the Canitoan Barangay Council headed by PB Hon. Lance Padla and the Committee Chairperson on BCPC and Gender and Development (GAD), Hon. Save the Children PH in partnership with Philippine Islans Kids International Foundation conducted a Workshop Training on Child Rights Situational Analysis and Co-design Thinking Process at Seda Hotel, July 31 to August 1, 2023.

Regulation Commission Board (RCB) with Police Station 7 conducted an Operation Sita with cooperation from the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPC) and Canitoan Oro Barangay Tanod at Zone 4-5-6 and 7 Canitoan. This operation was initiated as the part of the follow-up of the RCB to the Pisonet and Computer shop operators on their business permits and other important protocols for their units.

Barangay Canitoan Parents and Chidren from PNROA Elementary and High School together with their School Child Protection Focal Person took an Oath as Child Protection Advocates and OSAEC Warriors following the Child Centered Social Accountability Training Seminar held at Deluxe Hotel, June 3, 2023. The Barangay Council of Canitoan witnessed the Oath Taking Ceremony and congratulated everyone for their hard work and commitment in our advocacy.

Building Reselient Community (BRC) beneficiaries from Barangay Canitoan, Baikingon, San Simon and Indahag participated in the Food Processing Skills Training at PIKIFI Child Development Center, Zone 3 Canitoan, Cagayan de Oro City.

This was facilitated by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) of Cagayan de Oro (Bugo) School of Arts and Trade (COBSAT). The Barangay Council for the Protection of Chilldren (BCPC) of Canitoan attended the 3-day Seminar Workshop on Feedback Response Mechanism (FRM) that was facilitated by the Save the Children PH under the SaferKidsPH program and the Philippine Island Kids International Foundation.

This seminar workshop aims to effectively address positive and negative comments by the community in order to improve our services, reduce the risk of harm to children, supports children's rights to have their voice be heard, improve our relationship with acceptance by the community, reduce the risk of fraud and to demonstrate the quality of our service to donors and partners.

This was also attended by other barangay partners from Carmen, Camaman-an, Nazareth, Indahag, Baikingon and San Simon.
