𝐕𝐌 𝐁𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲-𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐎𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞

Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez joined Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy, department heads, and bonded officers of the City Government of Cagayan de Oro in the Capacity-Building Training on Cash Management and Control System (CMCS) and COA Compliance for Bonded Officers.

The three-day training aims to strengthen the accountability, knowledge, and competence of bonded officers while promoting transparency, compliance, and efficiency in government operations.

Resource speakers from the Commission on Audit (COA) will cover key topics on financial management and auditing, including accountability, responsibility, and liability (Ms. Marilou C. Mampao, State Auditor V, Supervising Auditor, LGAS Cluster C); receipts and collections (Atty. Sittie Salma Gurar, State Auditor IV, NGAS Cluster 7); and disbursement of funds and rules on cash advances (Ms. Sheila C. Edrozo, State Auditor IV, OIC Regional Supervising Auditor, NGAS Cluster 6).

In a statement, VM Bebot reiterates her continued commitment to transparency in the use of public funds, especially in the Legislative Branch of the local government.

Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez presided over today's 39th Regular Session of the 21st City Council, during which Kagay-anons who graduated from the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) “Tagapagtanggol ng Lahing Dakila” Class of 2026 received copies of Resolution No. 15765-2026 commending them for their achievement and for bringing honor and pride to Cagayan de Oro City.

The City Council also approved several legislative measures, including:

✔ Appropriation for the payment of the deficiency in the terminal leave benefits of a retired employee of the Office of the City Veterinarian.

✔ Allocation for the unpaid salaries and other benefits of a staff member of the Office of the City Accountant.

✔ Reorganization of the composition of the Committee on Games and Amusement of the 21st City Council.

✔ Amendment of the Charter of the City College of Cagayan de Oro to align the composition of its Governing Board with CHED guidelines.

✔ Authorization for the City Mayor to sign the necessary documents for the establishment of a Fish Landing and Fish Port Facility in Barangay Bonbon and support related requirements for its development.

✔ Authorization for the City Mayor to enter into and sign a Memorandum of Agreement with the Center for Educational Measurement, Inc. (CEM) for the administration of readiness tests under the City's scholarship program.

✔ Expression of condolences to the bereaved family of Mr. Gilbert Zamora, former Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Lumbia.

Vice Mayor Bebot Rodriguez joined Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy, members of the 21st City Council, department heads, and City Hall employees in today’s Flag Raising Ceremony sponsored by the Office of the City Administrator.

Vice Mayor Bebot likewise attended the Morale Recovery Program led by Pastor John Andrew Laurente, who shared a meaningful reflection on living truthfully and faithfully carrying out one’s responsibilities.
