CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City - Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) marked a significant milestone today with the activation and blessing of the Cagayan de Oro City Forensic Unit at Hilltop, Camp Alagar, Cagayan de Oro City on January 31, 2025.

The activity was graced by PBGEN JAYSEN C DE GUZMAN, Regional Director, PRO10, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.

The newly activated Cagayan de Oro City Forensic Unit will serve as a vital hub for scientific investigation, providing forensic personnel with the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties efficiently. The facility will strengthen case investigations, ensuring that evidence is meticulously examined to support the delivery of justice.

Among the key services to be offered are Scene of the Crime Operations (SOCO) Response, Fi****ms Examination, Polygraph Examination, and Questioned Document Examination. This office will operate 24 hours a day to ensure prompt and continuous support for law enforcement operations and criminal investigations.

In his message, PBGEN DE GUZMAN called on the forensic personnel to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in their work, emphasizing their crucial role in solving crimes and protecting the innocent.

“To the personnel of Cagayan de Oro City Forensic Unit, take good care of this facility. Let this remind you of your noble duty to uphold truth and justice with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. May it inspire you to excel in forensic science, continuously enhance your expertise, and ensure that every case you handle is done with precision and impartiality,” he said.

The activation of the Cagayan de Oro City Forensic Unit is a testament to the PNP’s dedication to strengthening law enforcement capabilities through science-based crime investigation. # # #
