CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- A total of P1.4 million worth of illegal drugs was seized by Police Station 9, COCPO and CDEU in a different police operation in Cagayan de Oro City.
On February 20, 2024, at 7:31 PM, personnel of PS9, COCPO successfully implemented Search Warrant against a Top 3 PNP-PDEA watch list individual at Upper St. Ignatius, Brgy. Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City, resulting in the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of approximately 100 grams of shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP680,000.00. Information disclosed that the suspect was previously arrested for frustrated murder in year 2013.
Subsequently, on February 21, 2024, at 12:05 AM, operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) also arrested a 32-year-old male high-value individual during the ex*****on of a buy-bust operation at Zone 9, Brgy. Canitoan, Cagayan de Oro City. Confiscated pieces of evidence during the operation include 10 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing more or less 110 grams with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP748,000.00.
Accordingly, the suspect had a history of multiple drug-related arrests (3 times for violating R.A. No. 9165) and was just recently released in January 2024.
All arrested individuals are now under the custodial facilities for proper disposition.
