Muling pinagtibay ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) ang pangako nitong tiyakin na ang mga establisyimentong nag-eempleyo ng mga lisensyadong propesyonal ay sumusunod sa mga pamantayan sa paggawa at kaligtasan at kalusugan sa trabaho, kasunod ng mga alegasyon na malpractice na kinasasangkutan ng isang cosmetic surgeon.

Ayon kay Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino, nagsagawa ang DOLE ng agarang inspeksyon sa klinika ng surgeon upang alamin kung sumusunod ang establisimyento sa mga umiiral na batas sa paggawa, occupational safety and health (OSH) standard, at iba pang mga regulasyon sa ilalim ng mandato ng Kagawaran.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that establishments employing licensed professionals comply with labor standards and occupational safety and health (OSH) requirements amid allegations of malpractice involving a cosmetic surgeon.

Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino said DOLE has conducted an immediate inspection of the surgeon’s clinic to determine whether the establishment is compliant with applicable labor laws, OSH standards, and other requirements within the Department’s mandate.

Binigyang-diin ng Kalihim na magsasagawa ang DOLE ng kaukulang aksyon sakaling matukoy ang mga paglabag na saklaw ng kapangyarihan ng Kagawaran, bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagsusulong ng ligtas at maayos na lugar ng paggawa.

Tolentino, initiated an in-depth investigation into workplace safety and operational standards surrounding the vessel following the deadly fire incident onboard M/V June Aster on the seas Coron, Palawan on September 9—a disaster that tragically cost the lives of more than 70 passengers and crew members.

Binigyang-diin ng Kalihim ang pagbibigay ng tulong sa mga pamilya ng nasawi, suporta sa mga nakaligtas, at mahigpit na pagpapatupad ng safety standards upang maiwasan ang mga katulad na trahedya at mapangalagaan ang buhay ng mga manggagawa at pasahero.

The Department of Labor and Employment-X Lanao del Norte Provincial Field Office (DOLE-X LDNPFO) facilitated the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) payout for 525 beneficiaries on October 6, 2026, at the CENRO Kolambugan, PENRO Tubod, Maranding Gym in Lala, and Kauswagan Municipal Gym.

A total of ₱3,952,500.00 was released to qualified beneficiaries, providing wages for temporary employment under the TUPAD program and immediate income support while engaging beneficiaries in community-based activities.

The beneficiaries contributed to environmental rehabilitation, tree planting, public-facility maintenance, declogging and dredging, landscaping, and other community improvement activities.

Under the leadership of DOLE Secretary 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐍. 𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨, DOLE continues to advance employment and social protection initiatives that provide practical support to disadvantaged workers. Through TUPAD, the Department transforms temporary employment into meaningful community service, with the cooperation of partner agencies, implementing personnel, and beneficiaries.

A total of ₱11,408,000 is being released to qualified beneficiaries, providing wages for temporary employment under the TUPAD program and immediate income support for workers and their families.

The activity demonstrates the Department’s delivery of direct and timely employment assistance, translating public resources into tangible support for workers and their communities.

Under the leadership of DOLE Secretary 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐍.
