LOOK: DTI Misamis Oriental Weekly Price Monitoring Report

The DTI Misamis Oriental Weekly Price Monitoring Report presents the results of daily price monitoring conducted from July 27-30, 2026 across Cagayan de Oro City.

A total of 174 different product items covering basic necessities and prime commodities were monitored across 42 major retail stores, supermarkets, and grocery stores. Findings show that 100% of the monitored goods are within the Suggested Retail Price (SRP).

DTI Misamis Oriental continues to monitor market prices to ensure compliance with SRP guidelines and promote fair trade practices.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental successfully kicked off the DTI Diskwento Caravan on August 6, 2026, as part of the Nipa Festival 2026, at the El Salvador City Gymnasium Drop-Off Zone.

The event formally opened with a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony graced by DTI Misamis Oriental Provincial Director Jesusa M. Abear and El Salvador City Vice Mayor Agripino "Loloy" Estrada Jr., signifying the shared commitment of DTI and the City Government of El Salvador to promote consumer welfare and provide greater access to affordable goods.

The DTI Misamis Oriental – RAPID Growth Project conducted the Cacao Fermentation and Drying Training for the Opol Integrated Cacao Farmers Association (OPICFA) on August 4, 2026, in Opol, Misamis Oriental. The activity aimed to strengthen farmers’ knowledge and skills in proper post-harvest practices to improve cacao bean quality and market value.

Through technical discussions and practical learning sessions, participants gained insights on proper fermentation and drying techniques to enhance bean quality, reduce post-harvest losses, and support the production of high-grade cacao for improved market opportunities.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental successfully conducted the Business Learning Session on Entrepreneurial Mindsetting and Strategic Marketing on July 31, 2026, for selected MSMEs of Medina, Misamis Oriental.

Resource Speaker Ms. Christine Laurente shared valuable insights on developing a growth-oriented entrepreneurial mindset and applying effective strategic marketing practices to help MSMEs strengthen their businesses, become more competitive, and pursue sustainable growth. Through meaningful discussions and interactive learning activities, participants gained practical knowledge and strategies that they can apply in managing, promoting, and growing their enterprises.
