The meeting centered on identifying appropriate training interventions that will equip the affected workers with new competencies, enhance their employability, and prepare them for alternative employment opportunities. Through TESDAโs training programs, the displaced workers may acquire industry-relevant skills that will support their transition to new careers, self-employment, or sustainable livelihood ventures.
The initiative forms part of DOLEโs continuing efforts to provide comprehensive assistance to workers affected by displacement. Beyond employment facilitation and livelihood support, the Department remains committed to expanding access to skills development and capacity-building opportunities that strengthen workersโ resilience and competitiveness in the labor market.
