Participants included City Hall employees from various departments whose roles involve financial responsibilities, such as tax collectors, disbursement officers, and other fund handlers.
Also present throughout the duration of the seminar were City Mayor Hon. Rolando โKlarexโ A. Uy and Vice Mayor Jocelyn โBebotโ Rodriguez.
In his opening remarks, Mayor Uy emphasized the importance of the training, stating, โKini nga seminar bunga sa nakita nga panihanglanon sa mga empleyado sa City Hall nga masayod sa mga regulasyon ug pamalaud sa pagmando sa pundo sa syudad. Importante kini kanato isip nga mga sinaligan sa katawhan.โ
Meanwhile, CEEBDA Acting General Manager Atty. Marianne G. Ragas expressed her full support for the initiative, highlighting its significance for personnel directly handling public funds.
โWe have sent a number of personnel as part of our emphasis on the importance of gaining knowledge from this seminar. CEEBDA personnel will now better understand the responsibilities and accountabilities that come with being entrusted with public money,โ Atty. Ragas said.
The training underscores the city governmentโs commitment to transparency, accountability, and effective financial management in public service.
