Lourdes College officially launches the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy Program. The institution recognizes the transformative impact of AI on education, research, administration, and professional practices. The school is also committed to developing an AI-literate academic community that is competent, ethical, and innovative in using the emerging AI technologies. It encompasses critical thinking, digital citizenship, responsible decision-making, and the ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs while upholding academic integrity. Through continuous awareness campaigns and information dissemination initiatives, members of the academic community will be introduced to emerging AI technologies that support teaching, learning, research, creativity, productivity, and institutional effectiveness.
The AI Literacy Program adopts a collaborative and institution-wide approach through the partnership of the Information Technology Program, the Information Technology Center (ITC), the Association of Computing Enthusiasts (ACE) Club, the Lourdes College Student Government (LCSG), and the Dean of Student Affairs and Services (DSAS) under the guidance of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA).
