Forty years ago, along EDSA, millions of Filipinos stood united and proved that courage can overcome fear. The People Power Revolution was not just a protestโ€”๐ข๐ญ ๐ฐ๐š๐ฌ ๐š ๐๐ž๐œ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐๐ข๐œ๐ญ๐š๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ ๐ก๐š๐ฌ ๐ง๐จ ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐๐ž๐ฆ๐จ๐œ๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ฒ ๐›๐ž๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฉ๐ž๐จ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ž.

Today, EDSA at 40 is more than remembrance; it is a responsibility. Freedom must be guarded. Corruption must be confronted. Discrepancies in leadership must never be ignored. Ambition without accountability weakens democracy, and silence in the face of injustice enables it.

We must remain strong and vocalโ€”demanding transparency, integrity, and genuine public service. We must continue to seek justice for lives lost to violence and policies that disregarded human dignity.

More than 100,000 Filipinos suffered from killings, torture, and other human rights violations, while the Marcos family stole billions from the nation. Today, they try to rewrite the history, and many corrupt officials continue to betray the people through greed and abuse of power.

Ngunit tunay nga ba tayong malaya?

Today, we celebrate our nation's freedom, yet we continue to live under the weight of corruption, deception, and the never-ending theatrics of those in power. While critical issues are being stalled and accountability is pushed aside, our nation suffersโ€”and the people are made to wait in silence.

Freedom is not just a memory of the past. It must be a demand of the present.
We must rise above the circus of governance and reclaim the values of integrity, justice, and good leadership that our heroes once fought for.

To the youth, this is our call!
Now is the time to speak up, stand firm, and be the generation that breaks the chains of political drama and moral decay. Let us ignite a movement that restores dignity, truth, and freedom to the land we call home.
