PH co-hosts CPD59 side event on demographic resilience with UNFPA, Jamaica, Mexico, North Macedonia, and AFIDEP
At the side event โUnpacking the Imperatives for Building Demographic Resilience and Sustainable Developmentโ during the 59th Session of the Commission on Population and Development, CPD Undersecretary Lisa Grace S. Bersales participated as a panelist. She outlined the Philippinesโ demographic transitions, including declining fertility and an evolving age structure, and underscored the importance of a life-course, data-driven approach, including strengthening human capital, reforming education systems, and enhancing integrated population data to address inequalities and support long-term sustainable development.
