With that, the Occupational Safety and Health Center - Regional Extension Unit 10 is conducting a FREE "BOSH for Safety Officer 1" training on May 28, 2026.

Safety Officer 1 or SO 1 is an 8-hour OSH orientation plus 2-hour training of trainers designed to impart knowledge and skills on basic concepts and principles of Occupational Safety and Health to enable potential safety officers (SO1 Certification) to implement their respective company's safety and health program.

• Use a desktop/laptop ONLY

✔️ Spreadsheet and presentation viewing/editing program such as M.S. Excel, MS PowerPoint, Numbers, Keynote, etc.
✔️ A stable internet connection is recommended (such as Fiber Wi-Fi) and a minimum connection of LTE for mobile broadband users. It is recommended to have 8 G.B. data allowance/promo per day for those with data allocation limits (prepaid cellular/mobile data).

Please wait for the confirmation e-mail to know if you are qualified for the FREE Online BOSH for SO1 training.
If approved, it will contain reminders & how to join the training. If denied, it will indicate either of the ff. reasons:

• Full slots
• Company needs 40-hr BOSH/COSH or MOSH (SO2-certification or higher)
• Lacking technological requirements
• More than 2 participants per company
• Cannot verify the company exists
• Company is not in the Philippines
• OH Personnel to train with PCOM (Doctors) or OHNAP (Nurses)

LOOK 👀 | OSHC REU X joined the 124th Labor Day celebration with the theme _“Disenteng Trabaho Para sa Lahat: Iisang Hangarin, Bagong Pilipinas Sama-samang Marating” at SM Downtown Premier, CDO! 🇵🇭

As DOLE’s training arm, we assisted clients with safety officer training inquiries and gave free OSH posters to employers.
