🔥World Day Against Trafficking (WDAT)
Faith-Based Sector Activity Initiative, led by one of the CIACAT Members Org, Migrants’ Ministry.

The CIACAT VAWC, sincerely commend the continuing effort and participation of the Migrants Ministry of the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro in combatting Trafficking in Person (TIP) along with other NGO partners.

Today, a lecture on TIP was conducted with the Women’s Ministry and Migrants Ministry from the different community of CDO and MisOr.

Your learnings will surely make a difference in reporting and responding to TIP Cases.

🔥WDAT- World Day Against Trafficking Radio Guesting Series to Raise Awareness

The CIACAT VAWC is profoundly grateful to its members namely, the Founder of the Streetlight Organization-Suga sa Dalan, Ms. Esther Buehlmann and Hon. Des Dahino for serving as Guest Speaker during today’s the Bombo Radyo Segment on Anti-Trafficking in Person discussion.

Combatting this prevalent and persisting social problem calls for a unified action not only from the government but also from the NGO partners and the public in general. Together let’s make our society a better and safer place for all.

🔥 (LIVE INTERVIEW)-July 23, 2026, as part of the upcoming observance of the World Day against Trafficking (WDAT) this July 30, the Lead Secretariat of the CIACAT-VAWC , Atty. Venamay S. Celeste, RSW was invited by the Cagayan de Oro City Information Office to talk about Trafficking In Person (TIP) and the continuing effort of the LGU CDO thru CIACAT-VAWC to prevent, respond TIP and rehabilitate victim-survivors.

Aim of the this interview are;

✅To raise public awareness and protect the people from becoming victims of Trafficking in person.

✅Encourage the public to become partners, by reporting incidents of TIP and,

✅Send a strong message to perpetrators that the government and other stakeholders will never stop until they are prosecuted and meted with the heaviest penalty under the law.

🔥 HOLISTIC PROTECTION: Responding to Trafficking in Person and Child Exploitation

Today, July 2, 2026, a crucial Case Conference was held to build a strong action plan for two rescued minors from vulnerable, low-income families.This collaborative effort brought together:

✅Police Officers from COCPO WCPD Headquarters & Police Stations 1 & 3
✅Lawyer and Social Workers from Island Kids Philippines, CSWD, Streetlight Organization

Because every single child matters, these advocates are uniting to guarantee the highest level of safety and care. 💯A huge shoutout to CIACAT-VAWC member Organization for spearheading this conference! 🤝✨

In observance of the World Day against Trafficking, the CSWD Department of Cagayan de Oro joins the wearing of Blue every Thursday of the Month of July to raise awareness and expression of support on the fight against Human Trafficking 🛑✋

The activity was participated mostly by men from different labor sectors of Canitoan.
