Special Rescue Force (SRF) personnel of Cagayan de Oro, led by Team Leader SINSP JOHN REY-AN G DONASCO and under the supervision of the District Fire Marshal of Cagayan de Oro Fire District, FSUPT CRISTOPHER G REGENCIA, conducted a swift water rescue operations to rescue victims trapped by heavy flooding.
The incident was reported to the station at around 02 2030H January 2026. Assistant Team Leader SINSP KYLE BRYAN C LAUZON, together with SRF duty personnel SFO1 William Paolo L Torralba, FO1 Ruther Dan M Vicente, and Balulang Fire Sub Station personnel FO1 John Micheal Macalino and FO1 Cyril Jones Atillo personnel immediately responded and arrived at the scene.
With the assistance of Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (BDRRM) under the leadership of Barangay Captain Hon. Edwin E. Micabani and concerned citizens, two (2) adult and one (1) child were successfully rescued from floodwaters. SRF personnel immediately endorsed the rescued individuals to the Barangay Disaster Risk and Reduction Management for further medical evaluation and assessment. SRF personnel also provided assistance at the evacuation centers.
