As of 2:00 AM today, 05 May 2026, a Low Pressure area (LPA 05a) is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is "UNLIKELY" to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, another Low Pressure area (LPA 05b) is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and now has a "HIGH" chance of developing into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

The Coast Guard Sub-Station Cagwait Conduct Baywatch Patrol for Holy Week and SUMVAC 2026

In observance of Holy Week and SUMVAC 2026, the Coast Guard Sub-Station Cagwait, led by SN1 Nickson I Dagasdas PCG, conducted Baywatch Patrols in connection with OPLAN BIYAHENG AYOS: Semana Santa and Summer Vacation (SUMVAC) 2026.

This initiative aims to ensure the safety and security of beachgoers along the shoreline and vicinity waters off Cagwait White Beach, Brgy. Poblacion, Cagwait, Surigao del Sur.
