Our guests won the All-Star Celebrity Basketball last October 22, 2023, at our City Gymnasium. Leading with six points, they have triumphed over our dear Honorables.
Although defeated, our Honorables showed sportsmanship and camaraderie.
Following the friendly competition is the awarding of winners of our 1st Mayor Nas Ona Cup Inter-Barangay Basketball and Volleyball League.
Bagging the champion award in our Basketball League is Barangay Puting Bato East, followed by Barangay Dacanlao, Lumbang Calzada, and Talisay, respectively. We also awarded our Mythical 5 players namely, MC Rod Manalo, Dan Lord Magpantay, Cris Pacleb, Antonio Alvarez Jr. (also awarded as Finals MVP), and Jorge Kean Delos Reyes. Bringing home the Best Coach award is Engr. Julius De los Reyes. And for our Season's MVP we have Jorge Kean Delos Reyes.
For our Volleyball Men's League, we have Barangay Poblacion 2 as our champion, followed by Barangay Lumbang na Matanda, Quizumbing, and Salong, respectively. The Best Blocker award goes to John Gabriel Silva and Best Setter award goes to Mark Andrei Abolencia. We also awarded our Best Server, Laurence Ornales, Best Outside Attacker, Jonel Valverde, and Best Libero, Ansel Jalen Casanova. Comprising our Mythical 6 we have Mao Ferrer, Edison Maala, Jomel Abapo, Arvin Jay Manalo, Jhonatan Catibog, and John Renan Dano.
And finally, winning the Volleyball Women's League, we have Barangay Dacanlao followed by Barangay Cahil, Barangay Poblacion 1, and Barangay Poblacion 6, respectively. Our Best Blocker award goes to Kelsie Raine Casenas, Best Setter, Loraine Samaupan, Best Server, Kimberly Shayne Portugalete, Best Outside Attacker, Jay Ann Llanes, and Best Libero, we have Lara Mae Manalo. Completing our set of awardees, we have our Mythical 6 players, Pasno Gaye Louishe, Aileen Miranda, Diane Mendoza, Elaiza Joyce Patulot, Kathleen Sierra, and Mary Joy Digno.
