The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) IV-A invites all stakeholders from the formal sector and domestic workers to participate in the upcoming Public Hearing on the proposed minimum wage adjustment for Region IV-A.

This is an opportunity for workers, employers, labor organizations, business groups, and other interested stakeholders to share their views, recommendations, and position on the proposed wage adjustment.

In accordance with πŒπ„πŒπŽπ‘π€ππƒπ”πŒ π‚πˆπ‘π‚π”π‹π€π‘ 𝐍𝐎. 𝟏𝟐𝟐, 𝐬. πŸπŸŽπŸπŸ”

In view of the continued heavy rainfall brought about by Tropical Storm Maymay and the Southwest Monsoon, and upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), work in government offices and classes at all levels in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Pangasinan, Abra, Zambales, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, and Occidental Mindoro are hereby suspended on 06 August 2026.

Agencies delivering essential and emergency services shall continue their operations. The suspension of work in private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

Ito ang naging pahayag ng kinatawan ng Domestic Workers Sector sa isinagawang 2nd Public Consultation on the Proposed Minimum Wage Adjustment for Region IV-A (CALABARZON) noong Hulyo 16, 2026 sa Antipolo City, Rizal.

Sa kanyang pahayag, ibinahagi niya ang mga hamon na kinakaharap ng mga kasambahay dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin. Ayon sa kanya, ang pagtaas ng sahod ay makatutulong upang mas matugunan ang pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan at mapagaan ang epekto ng tumataas na gastusin sa pamumuhay.

Sa kanyang pahayag, ibinahagi niya na ang makatarungang pagtaas ng sahod ay maaaring makatulong sa mga lokal na domestic worker na magkaroon ng mas maayos na kabuhayan sa bansa. Aniya, kung sapat ang kita, mas marami ang magkakaroon ng pagkakataong manatili at magtrabaho sa Pilipinas sa halip na mangibang-bansa upang masuportahan ang kanilang pamilya.

Ayon sa employer sector, mahalagang maging balanse ang anumang magiging desisyon upang mapangalagaan ang kapakanan ng mga manggagawa habang pinananatili rin ang kakayahan ng mga negosyo na mapanatili ang kanilang mga empleyado.

Sa kanyang pahayag, binigyang-diin ang panawagan ng iba't ibang labor unions para sa isang living wageβ€”isang sahod na sapat upang matugunan ang pangunahing pangangailangan ng mga manggagawa at kanilang pamilya. Ang ganitong mga pananaw ay mahalagang bahagi ng konsultasyon at isinasama sa masusing pag-aaral ng Board bago ang anumang magiging desisyon sa minimum wage adjustment.
