LOOK | Labor Advisory No. 11, Series of 2026 – Payment of Wages on June 12, 2026 (Independence Day) - Regular Holiday

In celebration of Independence Day, a regular holiday, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reminds all employers to follow the proper pay rules today.

For employees, this ensures they are properly compensated for the day. They are entitled to receive 100% of their daily wages without coming to work, as long as they come to work or are on approved paid leave on the working day prior to the holiday. Meanwhile, holiday-day goers are entitled to receive 200% of their regular daily pay.
