LOOK | Palace extends Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade in the Philippines until 2030
Malacañang extended the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade in the Philippines until 2030 through Proclamation No. 1339, signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on 06 July 2026.
Prior to this, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, formally introduced the adoption of the Ministerial Declaration on a Decade of Action for Inclusive and Resilient Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) during the 3rd Ministerial Conference on CRVS in Bangkok, Thailand. This declaration extends the global CRVS Decade goal to 2030 to promote universal, responsive, and resilient legal identity systems.
Proclamation No. 1339 shows the Philippine government’s commitment to strengthening the country’s civil registration and vital statistics system.
This helps Filipinos gain better access to legal identity and government services, and underscores the PSA’s role in the implementation of civil registration laws and in supplying vital statistics for evidence-based policies and sustainable development.
