The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Regional Statistical Services Office (RSSO) MIMAROPA conducted an orientation on the National ID Authentication Services (NIDAS) for the staff of Provincial Planning and Development Office (PDDO) Oriental Mindoro on 13 July 2026.

Ms. Leovell B. Atienza, Registration Officer III, presented the key features and benefits of NIDAS, emphasizing its role in enabling secure and reliable identity verification to support more efficient government service delivery. She also demonstrated eVerify platform, showcasing how agencies can authenticate the identity of clients using the National ID and conveniently submit onboarding requirements to avail the system.

The activity reflects the PSA's continuing commitment to promoting the adoption of trusted digital identity solutions that enhance efficiency, security, and accessibility in the delivery of public services.

LOOK | PSA, Singapore DOS strengthen collaboration through virtual learning session on AI

The Philippine Statistics Authority and Singapore’s Department of Statistics (DOS) strengthened their collaboration on the use of AI in statistical operations through a virtual learning session led by DOS, and organized by the International Cooperation Unit, on �02 July 2026.

During the session, DOS, led by its Communications and Engagement Division Director Priyadharshini Navaratnam, showcased AI innovations that enhance data integration, quality assurance, and statistical production, including DOS Intelligent Classification Engine (DICE) and the Statistics ANd Data Retrieval AI (SANDRA). Meanwhile, PSA OIC-Assistant National Statistician Jing B. Jalisan presented the agency’s ongoing AI initiatives, including the Artificial Intelligence for the Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (AI4CAF), Data Request Engagement and AI-assisted Management System (DREAMS), Civil Registration and Identification System Assistant (CRISA), among others.

LOOK | PSA forges stronger ties with Malaysia’s trade promotion agency

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) took another significant step in strengthening international statistical cooperation as it welcomed Trade Attaché Ms. Azlina Che Dir and her delegation from the Malaysia Trade Development Cooperation (MATRADE) for a courtesy meeting organized by the International Cooperation Unit (ICU) on 08 July 2026.

Led by PSA Assistant Secretary Divina Gracia L. del Prado, PhD, the PSA provided the MATRADE delegates with key insights on the country’s trade statistics, macroeconomic indicators, and official data dissemination processes. Also present during the meeting were Assistant National Statistician Rachel C. Lacsa, Director Benjamin Arsenio Y. Navarro, Mr. Florande S. Polistico, Ms. Ma. Julieta P. Soliven, Mr. Anthony B. Abalos, and Ms. Haidee DT Orellana.

📊 Seasonally Adjusted Consumer Price Index (2018=100): June 2026

The seasonally adjusted Consumer Price Index (CPI) for All Items in the Philippines registered a month-on-month growth rate of 0% in June 2026 from a month-on-month decline of 0.6% in May 2026.

By removing seasonal influences such as holidays, weather changes, and other calendar-related effects, the seasonally adjusted CPI provides a clearer view of the underlying trend in consumer prices.

LOOK | Palace extends Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade in the Philippines until 2030

Malacañang extended the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Decade in the Philippines until 2030 through Proclamation No. 1339, signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on 06 July 2026.

Prior to this, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Undersecretary Claire Dennis S. Mapa, PhD, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General, formally introduced the adoption of the Ministerial Declaration on a Decade of Action for Inclusive and Resilient Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) during the 3rd Ministerial Conference on CRVS in Bangkok, Thailand. This declaration extends the global CRVS Decade goal to 2030 to promote universal, responsive, and resilient legal identity systems.

Proclamation No. 1339 shows the Philippine government’s commitment to strengthening the country’s civil registration and vital statistics system.
This helps Filipinos gain better access to legal identity and government services, and underscores the PSA’s role in the implementation of civil registration laws and in supplying vital statistics for evidence-based policies and sustainable development.
