VIGILANCE IN PUERTO PRINCESA: CECU PUERTO PRINCESA CITY SPEARHEADS COMMUNITY SAFETY THROUGH PROJECT A.B.K.D.
In line with the PNP’s Focused Agenda on Community Support, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, under the supervision of PMAJ ARVIN J DIMAILIG, OIC, RECU MIMAROPA, personnel of CECU Puerto Princesa conducted PROJECT A.B.K.D. (Awareness of Bombs that Kill Lives and Destroy Properties) at Robinsons Mall Palawan, Brgy San Manuel, Puerto Princesa City.
The lecture was attended by approximately 100 participants composed of security personnel, staff, and tenants of Robinsons Mall Palawan. The activity aimed to strengthen public awareness and preparedness against bomb threats and explosive-related incidents through information dissemination and community engagement.
During the lecture, the participants were oriented on the proper Do’s and Don’ts during Bomb Threat Incidents, the provisions of PD 1727, and the hazards posed by Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), Unexploded Ordnance (UXOs), and Explosive Remnants of War (ERWs). The discussion also highlighted the important role and responsibilities of the PNP-EOD/K9 Group in ensuring public safety and maintaining peace and order within the community.
This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to community safety. By promoting awareness of the perils posed by IEDs and bombs and actively developing a consciousness of safety within the public, we ensure a more vigilant, prepared, and secure environment for all.
