As part of its continuing commitment to safeguarding the health and well-being of learners, Managpi National High School, through the initiative of Nurse Fernan Guavis, successfully conducted a Deworming Advocacy Campaign on July 31, 2026.
The advocacy session aimed to raise awareness among parents and school stakeholders about the importance of regular deworming in ensuring the proper growth, nutrition, and overall health of children. Nurse Guavis provided valuable information on the causes, effects, and prevention of worm infestations, while emphasizing the significance of proper hygiene, sanitation, and healthy practices in reducing the risk of parasitic infections.
The activity was attended by key members of the school community, including Clinic Teachers Maโam Kristine L. Cruz and Maโam Marife C. Aguila, School-Based Feeding Program Coordinator Sir Ronel M. Adarlo, Head Teachers Maโam Leila M. Faraon and Maโam Maricel P. Dalisay, and School Head Maโam Delia L. Enriquez, together with the parents who actively participated in the discussion.
Parents showed enthusiasm and interest throughout the session, engaging in meaningful conversations and gaining practical knowledge that will help them promote healthier lifestyles and make informed decisions for the well-being of their children.
