𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗵: 𝗔 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀

With a mix of gratitude and anticipation, the Turn Over of Command Ceremony marked a significant milestone in the leadership of the district jail. The occasion honored the dedicated service of JSINSP RODANTE P CAYABYAB, outgoing Acting District Jail Warden, as he formally relinquished his post, and welcomed JSINSP LESLIE T DANGUPON as the newly installed Acting District Jail Warden.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of JCINSP BRYAN IAN PAUL A RAÑADA, Jail Provincial Administrator of Oriental Mindoro, whose leadership and guidance underscored the importance of continuity and excellence in public service. His presence added prestige to the event, highlighting the commitment of the Bureau to uphold discipline, integrity, and professionalism within its ranks.

The highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic turn-over of command, including the transfer of the key and passbook, representing authority, responsibility, and trust. As JSINSP DANGUPON accepted the role, it signified not just a change in leadership, but the continuation of a mission committed to service, reform, and humane safekeeping.

The ceremony concluded with a renewed sense of purpose, as one leader steps down with honor and another rises to carry the torch. Indeed, it was not just a transition but a reaffirmation of dedication to duty and service to the community.

With sincere appreciation, we formally extend our gratitude to our outgoing Acting District Jail Warden as he approaches his well-deserved retirement. 𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀: 𝗔 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗱-𝗢𝗳𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗣 𝗖𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗯𝘆𝗮𝗯 ❤️

What was meant to be a simple gathering turned into a touching and memorable surprise despedida party at Jollibee for Jail Senior Inspector Rodante P Cayabyab, outgoing Acting District Jail Warden of Calapan City District Jail.

With joyful cheers and warm smiles, personnel welcomed him into a room filled with appreciation and gratitude. The surprise was evident on his face as colleagues expressed their heartfelt messages, recalling moments of leadership, guidance, and camaraderie that defined his tenure.

Over shared meals and laughter, the team celebrated not just his service, but the strong bond he built within the organization. His leadership left a mark of discipline, unity, and genuine care, qualities that will continue to inspire even after his departure.

The day became more than just a farewell. It was a celebration of a leader who led with heart. Though he may be stepping into a new chapter, his legacy in Calapan City District Jail will always remain.

Indeed, some goodbyes are not just endings but reminders of the lasting impact of true leadership.

In a strong display of unity and patriotism, the personnel of the Calapan City District Jail actively participated in the “Stride for the Tide: KALASAG-DAGAT Fun Run 2026,” an initiative aimed at strengthening public awareness on the West Philippine Sea and promoting community resilience.

Spearheaded by PBGEN JOVENCIO S BADUA JR., the activity gathered police personnel, local government units, civil society organizations, and community members in a synchronized regional effort. The event served not only as a platform for physical wellness but also as a meaningful avenue to amplify the collective voice of Filipinos in safeguarding national sovereignty and maritime resources.

The “KALASAG-DAGAT Fun Run 2026” successfully reinforced the importance of unity, vigilance, and shared responsibility among Filipinos. Through this initiative, the Calapan City District Jail reaffirmed its commitment to supporting advocacies that promote public awareness, national pride, and community resilience.

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳: 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗗𝗟

The discussion on Moral Recovery Program (VRP) with the focused value of the week, “Faith,” was successfully facilitated for the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) under the guidance of JO1 Jewel Harieth S De Los Santos, MRP Officer. The activity aimed to deepen the PDL’s understanding of the importance of faith in overcoming life’s challenges, strengthening their hope, and nurturing their spiritual well-being while inside the facility.

During the session, JO1 De Los Santos discussed the value of faith as a source of courage, perseverance, and inner peace in times of difficulty. The PDL were encouraged to reflect on their personal struggles and to trust that with faith, change, healing, and a better future are possible. The discussion also emphasized that faith is not only about belief in God, but also about believing in oneself, in second chances, and in the possibility of transformation through sincere effort and self-discipline.

The Completion Ceremony of the 270 Practicum Hours for the criminology students of Divine Word College of Calapan and Mindoro State University was successfully conducted, marking a meaningful milestone in their journey toward becoming future public servants. The ceremony served as a celebration of perseverance, discipline, and the valuable experiences gained by the interns throughout their immersion and practicum training.

The event was graced by Ms. Joan Mae A. Gayacan, RCrim, Faculty Member of DWCC, and Mr. Danilo Tupaz, Jr., Program Chairman of MINSU, whose presence added honor and inspiration to the occasion. Their support and encouragement reminded the students of the importance of commitment, professionalism, and service as they continue their academic and career paths.

The completion ceremony stood as a testament to the dedication of the interns and the strong partnership between the two institutions in shaping responsible and service-oriented criminology students.
