The wait is almost over! Tomorrow, the 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 brings together young chess players from across 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 for a day of strategy, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competition. 🧡

With 𝟮𝟭𝟲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 representing 𝟱𝟰 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀, the tournament features:

♟️ 32 Elementary Teams
♟️ 11 Secondary Boys Teams
♟️ 11 Secondary Girls Teams

Each team is composed of 4 players, ready to represent their schools and make every move count.

🌿 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗗 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 is a joint initiative between the Republic of the Philippines and the Federal Republic of Germany through the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and implemented by a consortium led by GIZ, designed to raise ambition and align with both international and national climate and biodiversity agendas through local implementation. For the project’s Transport output, TRANSCEND work targets both national and local levels (e.g., the cities of Calapan, Naga, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, and their surrounding provinces), focusing on policy and institutional support, capacity development, advocacy and stakeholder engagement, and living labs.

Despite the heavy rains and flooding, the Junior Officials Competency Seminar and Election was successfully conducted! 🌧️💪
