Day 2 highlights practical training on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint , covering financial reporting, spreadsheet processing, document preparation, and basic troubleshooting.

The training aims to strengthen participants’ digital skills for more efficient and organized cooperative management.

The 𝗖𝗢𝗢𝗣-𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝘄𝗼-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 is currently being conducted at 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙧𝙤 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮 (MinSU) – Calapan City Campus, College of Computer Studies, with the active participation of 118 bookkeepers and treasurers from 59 PCDO-assisted cooperatives and associations across the different municipalities of Mindoro.

The training continues even on today’s holiday, reflecting the participants’ dedication to learning and their commitment to strengthening the financial management of their respective organizations. While holidays provide an important opportunity to pause, rest, and spend meaningful time with family and loved ones, the participants have chosen to dedicate this day to professional growth, skills development, and service to their cooperatives and communities.

The activity provides a hands-on learning experience focused on Cooperative Digital Financial Management, particularly the use of Microsoft Excel-based spreadsheet processing and financial reporting, helping participants improve their skills in financial management, monitoring, validation, and reporting.

The activity is organized by the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) of Oriental Mindoro, under the leadership of Provincial Cooperative Development Officer Sir Orlando B. Tizon, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen the capacity of cooperatives and associations through digital tools and improved financial management practices.

The PCDO extends its heartfelt gratitude to MinSU President Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol, Dr. Franie M. Afable, Calapan City Campus Executive Director and the entire MinSU College of Computer Studies, led by Dr. Epie F. Custodio, together with her dedicated team, for their warm support, cooperation, and technical assistance in making this training possible.

Bilang bahagi ng 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, inilulunsad ng Provincial Cooperatives Development Office (PCDO), kasama ang mga City/Municipal Cooperative Development Offices (C/MCDOs), ang KKKK Project 2026—isang sama-samang pagkilos ng sektor ng kooperatiba para sa ating mga katutubong Mangyan.
Ang KKKK ay sumasalamin sa mga kagamitang maaari nating ibahagi—Kawali, Kaldero, Kaserola at Kubyertos—na magsisilbing simbolo ng ating pagkakaisa, pagbabahagi at malasakit sa ating mga kapatid na katutubong Mangyan.

Sa pamamagitan ng pinag-isang puwersa ng PCDO, mga LGU-CDOs, at iba pang katuwang na tanggapan ng mga LGU, layunin ng proyekto na makapagtipon at makapagbahagi ng mga kagamitang pangkusina para sa mga katutubong Mangyan at kanilang mga pamayanan, lalo na sa mga komunidad na nangangailangan ng karagdagang suporta.

Sa ilang bayan, ang mga Cooperative Development Office ay katuwang din ang iba pang tanggapan ng kanilang lokal na pamahalaan at mga organisasyong panlipunan, tulad ng Municipal/City Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO/CSWDO), Foursquare Church, Philippine National Police (PNP), at mga grupong boluntaryo at iba pang organisasyong hindi kabilang sa pamahalaan (NGOs), upang mas maayos na matukoy, maabot, at mapaglingkuran ang mga magiging benepisyaryo ng proyekto.

Ang 𝗞𝗞𝗞𝗞 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 ay nabuo at kinonsepto kasama ang Pampamayanang Mangyan Ugnayan, Inc. (PMUI), na katuwang ng PCDO sa pagpapaunlad ng mga programa para sa ating mga katutubong Mangyan. Ang pagtulong at paglilingkod sa mga katutubong Mangyan ay mahalagang bahagi ng puso at layunin ng PMUI, kaya naman kaisa natin sila sa pagsasakatuparan ng makabuluhang proyektong ito.

CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO — Agosto 14, 2026. — Isang bagong oportunidad para sa dagdag na kita at healthy living ang microgreens para sa mga miyembro ng kooperatiba sa Oriental Mindoro, ayon sa Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO).

Isinagawa ngayong 𝗔𝗴𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝘀𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹 ang 𝑴𝒊𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏𝒔 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 na nilahukan ng mga kinatawan mula sa mga kooperatiba sa lalawigan. Layunin nitong ipakilala ang microgreens bilang isang alternative o additional enterprise na maaaring pasukin ng mga cooperative members.

Ipinakita sa pagsasanay na maaaring maging praktikal na enterprise ang microgreens dahil maaari itong simulan sa maliit na espasyo at maikling production cycle. Maaari itong anihin sa loob ng humigit-kumulang 7 hanggang 14 araw, depende sa variety at production conditions, na nagbibigay ng potensyal para sa mas mabilis na production at income cycle.

Tinalakay sa training ang mga praktikal na pamamaraan sa pagpapatubo, organic production, pag-aalaga, pag-aani at pagpoproseso ng microgreens, pati na rin ang mga posibilidad nito bilang produktong maaaring ialok sa merkado.

Ibinahagi ni 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗖. 𝗗𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 ang kanyang kaalaman at praktikal na karanasan sa microgreens production, habang binigyang-diin ni 𝗣𝗖𝗗𝗢 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗕. 𝗧𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻 ang potensyal nito bilang healthy food source at karagdagang pagkakakitaan para sa mga cooperative members.

Para sa PCDO, ang pagsulong ng microgreens ay hindi lamang tungkol sa produksyon ng isang bagong uri ng pagkain. Ang aktibidad ay bahagi ng patuloy na inisyatiba ng PCDO, sa suporta ni Gobernador Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor, na magbukas ng mga bagong oportunidad sa kabuhayan at enterprise development para sa mga kooperatiba sa Oriental Mindoro.

LUNGSOD NG CALAPAN, ORIENTAL MINDORO — Masigasig na isinusulong ng Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) ng Oriental Mindoro, sa pamumuno ni Department Head Orlando B. Tizon at sa pakikipagtulungan ng Provincial Agriculture Office (PAGO), ang pagpapatubo at pagpoproseso ng microgreens bilang makabagong pangkabuhayan ng mga lokal na kooperatiba at pangunahing pinagmulan ng masustansyang pagkain sa lalawigan.

Ang 𝙢𝙞𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙨 ay mga murang sibol ng gulay (tulad ng rábano, sunflower, at munggo) na inaani sa loob lamang ng 7 hanggang 14 araw. Dahil mabilis ang balik ng puhunan, hindi kinakailangan ng malawak na lupain, at mataas ang demand sa merkado, itinuturing itong mabilis at napapanatiling solusyon sa pangkabuhayan at seguridad sa pagkain ng mga Mindoreño.

Ayon kay G. Tizon, layunin ng PCDO na bigyan ng tamang kasanayan ang mga mamamayan upang maging matagumpay silang agri-entrepreneurs.

Ang inisyatibong ito ay buong-pusong sinusuportahan ni Gobernador Humerlito "Bonz" A. Dolor upang mapalakas ang kita ng mga maliliit na magsasaka at kooperatiba habang tinitiyak ang kalusugan ng buong komunidad.

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro | July 24, 2026 — In a significant step toward accelerating the province’s transition to clean and sustainable energy, the Provincial Cooperatives Development Office (PCDO), in partnership with REnew Mindoro, successfully convened the Roundtable Discussion on Renewable Energy Financing and Investment Forum on July 24, 2026, at Vencio’s Garden Hotel and Restaurant.

The forum brought together key financing institutions and development partners to strengthen collaboration and expand financing opportunities for solar power system installations benefiting cooperatives, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), local businesses, institutions, and other productive sectors across Oriental Mindoro.

Participating in the forum were representatives from the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), Security Bank, Metrobank, Philippine Business Bank (PBB), Banco de Mindoro, SIDC Savings Bank, and the Foundation for a Sustainable Society, Inc. (FSSI). Their participation demonstrated a shared commitment to advancing renewable energy investments by making financing more accessible and responsive to the growing demand for clean energy solutions in the province.

During the forum, each participating financing institution presented its renewable energy financing and credit facilities, while stakeholders exchanged insights on innovative financing mechanisms, investment opportunities, and collaborative approaches to support the wider adoption of solar energy technologies. The discussions also identified strategies to strengthen coordination among government, financial institutions, and development organizations in promoting renewable energy investments.

Recognizing that affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy is essential to economic growth, participants underscored the importance of expanding access to renewable energy financing to help reduce electricity costs, improve operational efficiency, enhance enterprise competitiveness, and build resilience among cooperatives, MSMEs, and other local enterprises. The initiative likewise reinforces the province’s commitment to environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and inclusive economic development.

The activity reflects the continuing commitment of the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro, through the Provincial Cooperatives Development Office and in partnership with REnew Mindoro, to cultivate strategic partnerships with the banking and finance sector in support of the province’s renewable energy agenda. By fostering stronger collaboration among key stakeholders, the forum laid the foundation for broader investments in clean energy that will benefit communities, enterprises, and future generations of Oriental Mindoreños.
