The Calapan City Parole and Probation Office conducted an Information Drive on Probation, Parole, and Other Forms of Executive Clemency at the BJMP San Teodoro District Jail on July 21, 2026 as part of its continuing commitment to promote public awareness and support jail decongestion initiatives.

The activity provided Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) with essential information on the legal processes, qualifications, and benefits of probation, parole, and other forms of executive clemency. Participants were encouraged to actively engage in the discussion, allowing them to gain a better understanding of the opportunities available for their rehabilitation and eventual reintegration into society.

In addition to the information drive, the office conducted a jail decongestion visit to identify qualified PDLs who may be eligible for community-based correctional programs. This initiative reflects the agency's commitment to ensuring that deserving individuals are informed of legal alternatives that support restorative justice while helping ease jail congestion.

The Calapan City Parole and Probation Office expresses its sincere gratitude to the BJMP San Teodoro District Jail personnel for their warm accommodation and continued partnership in advancing rehabilitation, reintegration, and community safety. The Calapan City Parole and Probation Office paid a courtesy call to Hon. Karen Ponce-Miranda, DMD, Municipal Mayor of San Teodoro, Oriental Mindoro on July 21, 2026, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen partnerships with local government units in promoting restorative justice and community-based rehabilitation.

During the meeting, the office formally introduced the mandate of the Parole and Probation Administration and highlighted its programs and services aimed at helping probationers, parolees, and other clients become productive and law-abiding members of society. The discussion also emphasized the vital role of local government units in supporting the successful reintegration of clients into their respective communities.

The Calapan City Parole and Probation Office sought the support and cooperation of the Municipal Government of San Teodoro in implementing rehabilitation programs, community-based interventions, and other initiatives that will contribute to the personal growth and positive transformation of probationers and parolees under its jurisdiction.

The office extends its sincere appreciation to Hon. Karen Ponce-Miranda, DMD, for the warm welcome and openness to collaborate in advancing the shared goal of building safer communities through effective rehabilitation, reintegration, and public service.

PhilHealth Orientation and Roll-out on the Implementation of the PhilHealth Program for Clients

In celebration of the 50th Founding Anniversary of the Parole and Probation Administration, the Calapan City Parole and Probation Office successfully conducted the PhilHealth Orientation and Roll-out on the Implementation of the PhilHealth Program for Clients during the regular reporting of clients on July 14, 2026, at the Mangyan Hall, Provincial Capitol Compound, Calapan City.

The activity aimed to strengthen clients' access to essential healthcare services by familiarizing them with the benefits and programs offered by PhilHealth. Representatives from PhilHealth presented the agency's programs and services, facilitated the registration of clients who were not yet PhilHealth members, assisted with the updating of membership records, and addressed various inquiries from participants. This initiative underscored the importance of ensuring that clients are equipped with the necessary social protection benefits as they continue their rehabilitation and reintegration into the community.

The event was actively supported by the office's Volunteer Probation Assistants (VPAs), whose assistance contributed to the smooth and orderly conduct of the activity.

The initiative was spearheaded by SPPO/OIC Ivan Loisaga, together with Sr. PPO Alexander A. Pareja, PPO II Leila Sandra Lebumfacil, PPO II Jose Francis Sabanal, PPO II Elaine V. Del Mundo, Administrative Aide Maricon Rey, Nicko James Niño Asi, and the Government Internship Program (GIP) personnel. The activity was likewise graced by the presence of Regional Officer-in-Charge Corazon Navarrete, Assistant Regional Director Bennyrose Arnecilla, and Administrative Officer IV Dowel Reyes, whose attendance highlighted the agency's commitment to promoting the welfare and holistic rehabilitation of its clients.

Through collaborative efforts with PhilHealth and the dedicated participation of agency personnel and volunteers, the activity served as a meaningful contribution to the observance of the Administration's golden anniversary, reaffirming its enduring commitment to empowering clients and fostering their successful reintegration into society through accessible government services.

The Calapan City Parole and Probation Office successfully conducted an Information Drive on the Parole and Probation Program for the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the BJMP Calapan City. The participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions and clarify concerns regarding the application process and the responsibilities of parolees and probationers.

The Information Drive served as an avenue to raise awareness among the PDLs about the opportunities available under the community-based corrections program.
