Tabansak Elementary School proudly launched the kickoff program for the National Womenโs Month Celebration 2026 with the inspiring theme โLead Like the Babaylans: Empowering the Filipina Spirit!โ This yearโs celebration continues to echo the 2023โ2028 recurring campaign theme, โWE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society.โ
The activity began with a parade around the community, followed by a zumba session led by enthusiastic mothers from the barangay. Joining the celebration were barangay officials headed by Hon. Jose V. Fernandez, who showed their full support for women empowerment and gender equality.
During the program, participants also listened to inspiring messages from our School Head, Rogel F. Magsino,Ed.D. and other Brgy. Officials, highlighting the importance of unity, leadership and the continued empowerment of women in all aspects of life.
The event celebrated the strength, leadership, and resilience of Filipino womenโjust like the Babaylans of history who served as healers, leaders, and keepers of wisdom.
As part of the celebration, everyone is encouraged to wear purple every Friday of March to show solidarity for womenโs empowerment. Participants are also invited to join the online campaign by using the official profile frame from the Philippine Commission on Women via Twibbonize.
Together, the Tabansak Elementary School community continues to honor the past, celebrate the present, and lead the way to a more inclusive and equal future.
